Did you know the stickies exist and explain this more than well enough?

TL;DR to try and discuss the subversion in gaming without discussing the root cause (ie leftism in general) is simply retarded.

Can you link the original study? This sounds really interesting.

IIRC this is a variant of the famous Trolley Problem.

In this variant, there is a trolley speeding down a track, and you are standing on a bridge above the tracks. There is a- ahem, "Large" individual on the bridge, whom you can push down to save 5 people tied on the tracks further ahead.

The graph itself shows participant responses from 0-10 (here, the y axis only goes up to 6) as to how likely they would be to push the individual from the bridge, sorted by the specifciation or lack thereof of the bystander's sex.

The lines going through the bars show the variance, that is to say, the bar could be anywhere from the top of that line to the bottom. Where the bar itself is actually drawn is the "mode" or most common response.

Praise Hadrian.

Reddit? What is this website you speak of?

I really do not see how pressing buttons to make pixels move can offend anybody. I am a devout Christian, but I understand that video games are not real life. Within Valhalla, I would be playing Pagan vikings ransacking and destroying Christian cities, and so long as I am in that role, I will do it gladly. It isn't real life.

It's not that he's wrong, it's just he's too upfront about it. If the comment itself doesn't glow, it certainly serves as a beacon calling all glowies to try and get to this guy asap.

Anything that uses tax money should not happen in the first place. The State is an illegitimate institution.

It's also not what's being debated.

They don't. It's all for show. He wants everybody to listen to him and have the country become socialist so he can be a "card-carrying member of the Party"

Of course he's acting. You think any of them really believe a word coming out of their mouths? They want Soycialism because they think they're going to be commissar. When Mises said "Every socialist is a disguised dictator", he wasn't being facetious.

Debian repo is still up. IIRC there's a nice Arch repo as well.

Many imposters, many backups, all on Github

There is something evil about initiating the use of force against peaceful people or their property. This makes at least some of our greatest heroes at least a bit evil. We should recognise and admit that, and then say to ourselves, "Brilliant! We have an opportunity to be better than our heroes!"

Tearing down statues is not the answer. Recognition of evil and the possibility of excellence and improvement is.

Because they're not real libertarians. They're only pretending. They defend whatever they already like using bastardized versions of principles they don't understand.

I want revenge too! Thing is, I'm mature enough to resist temptation and pateintly wait for my time to strike. It takes years and years for proper revenge.

I disagree on a fundamental level. I agree that these people are evil, but the conclusion that thus they must not "get a statue" is pure fantasy. People should be allowed to do what they want with their owned property, including erect a statue of anybody they want, no matter how immoral.

Stalin, in my view, was a profoundly evil man. He had no regard for human life, he had no sense of moderation, and he was what amounts to the ultimate incarnation of the "Janny" personality.

Yet, if somebody had a huge block of marble and tools to carve it, should they choose to carve a statue of Stalin and place it upon their own property, so long as they do not hurt anybody else or their property, they should be allowed to do so.

That's a very common proverb across cultures, I wonder why. Maybe because it's so unintuitive but yet so profoundly indisputable. The law isn't real, it's all in your head, you only follow it to avoid conflict but you have no reason to.

Some of the commentary that spilled forth in the “STOP THE STEAL” group veered into planning for armed conflict. “We are on the verge of civil war due to those types of people,” one user wrote. “You cannot reason with them or convince them to stop and reunite as they are dead set on total destruction of our nation. So I ask you, what are you prepared to do?” Another asked, “how do we go about overthrowing the government?” Hundreds of users replied, with one proclaiming, “Civil war!”

Doesn't sound too crazy to me. In fact, sounds a bit more reasonable than most sugarcoated discussions dancing around these facts.

“The group was organized around the delegitimization of the election process,

Based!

and we saw worrying calls for violence from some members of the group,”

Worrying? Violence towards whom? Beating up politicians is not immoral, it's literally in our DNA!

Update: Facebook removed the group and a connected page that organized chaos at the Detroit vote counting room, citing potential risk for offline harm.

"Organizing chaos in Detroit" wtf did Faceless just ban BLM?
