It probably shouldn't since so many other freedoms are lacking in this modern era. i.e. arms, privacy, due process. Because rights for specific groups are apparently more important than allowing rights for everyone.
If your support for free speech is contingent upon no one being offended, and people have amply demonstrated the ability to be offended by anything, then you do not support free speech.
The 'liber' in 'liberal' means absolutely nothing anymore.
