"Jesus had to flee to a foreign country..." I'm going to stop you right there. Judea and Egypt were different provinces in the same country, they were both part of the Roman Empire. And also the only reason Jesus was born in Bethlehem was because the Romans ordered a census to be conducted and Joseph was from Bethlehem.

Generally that is down to lazy writing, you see it in fantasy as well, all elves, all vulcans, all dwarves are all the same because it is easier to just write them that way. An in universe explanation would be that since the media is generally presented from a human centric perspective that they don't recognize the differences between say a high elf and a wood elf while it would be instantly recognizable to any elf those differences. Which is actually very realistic when you have one ethnicity looking at other cultural groups and not seeing the difference between similar subsets in those groups.

That's how I avoided wearing a mask on my last flight. I just kept one hand on my water bottle the entire time like I was about to take a sip.

I always love "community pain." You literally have nothing in common with the people that died except a shared heritage. That's not a community.

They're still there. Real estate, especially agents and managers attract people that literally don't want to work or are trying to game the system.

As a person in real estate, I will say that real estate attracts a lot of shady individuals that would rather game the system than actually do their jobs.

The hyperinflation of real estate is literally decades of pushing "everyone must own a home" mentality. That's what led to the massive increase of real estate prices.

Before mortgages for everyone you needed to put 25% down on a house for any bank to even consider you. This meant prices mostly remained fixed or accounted for inflation. Then when they decides everyone should get a mortgage and the government backed it the banks stopped caring. It didn't matter if you had no down payment or could pay the mortgage because to the bank either the Gov would bail them out or the homeowner would refinance every year because prices kept going up and eventually the bank would make their money back and a profit.

100% intentional. I work I'm the real estate field and the people they were giving mortgages to right before the burst were crazy. Like legit someone making 36k a year and giving them a mortgage for 2k a month. Basically unpayable.

And when you asked the banks "are you serious here," they were like "oh well prices will keep going up so they can just keep refinancing their house every year to stay. It doesn't matter." But really it was the feds backing every mortgage to expand home "ownership". At the end of the day they just preyed upon people that never should have/would be able to own a home by gaming the numbers because they could never lose.

Bingo. Infinite lockdowns. Think about they already talk about the UK or South African strain.

Get a new strain and it is "oh no. Lockdowns again until we can get another vaccine produced."

I legit feel bad for him. This is a man that should be home surrounded by family and be getting taken care of. But instead he is being dragged around and propped up for political reasons. He has no idea where he is or what he is doing.

Let's do TB, polio, and smallpox vaccines next at our border! Or is that considered racist?

Plebbit probably doesn't report for the CP to the authorities because they're in on it. They just shut down the sub, give out some token bans and call it a day.

Same. I clicked on a link and then went back and gone.

Considering the average chef probably works a minimum of 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, they definitely don't want to become chefs.

Also the shifting of political and economic power from the rural south and self proclaimed "aristocrats" to an industrialized north didn't sit well with the idea of the gentlemen farmers of the south.

Groening took all the smart writers with him to futurama and now disenchantment. Honestly, if you haven't checked out disenchantment yet, do so.
