Oh and I don't think women want to pursue a culinary career. I'm not so sure they want to pursue even learning basic cooking skills that any 12 year old should have.

Considering the average chef probably works a minimum of 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, they definitely don't want to become chefs.
No they want to become TV Chefs.
The problem is they hit a wall when people ask them to make food.
Now they are all 'Home Cooks' who try to go on Masterchef and spend their husbands money on expensive kitchen gadgetry they never use.
They like the idea of being a chef but don't want to put in the work involved.
