I went to Barnes & Noble for the first time in about 10 years (I was watching my niece ice skate at the mall) and they had a huge section of these softcore pornographic books for women. Some had loving reviews hand written by the bookstore staff. I watched as women with ages ranging from 15-60s perused the shelves with great enthusiasm. Kind of weird to be surrounded by so many fujoshi.

It's not up to us to figure out how to fix their dying business model.

Its not as bad as that, but you can tell. Especially when you squeeze them.

It's kind of boring how this board/community/subforum is just a general social commentary space

You have a collective 2 comments here. Feel free to show yourself out.

Just something to remember each time they complain about 'emotional labor' or 'unequal domestic labor.'

The only way chaos-claimed land can be purged is with holy promethium.

There is no way that Taiwan (or the US) would just hand over TSMC intact to the Chinese. With SMIC stuck on 14nm, with 7nm and 5nm in development hell, the EUVL machines at TSMC would be the real goal in an invasion. No way those would remain functional even if China did take the fabs. And its not like China could then go to ASML and ask for spares or replacements.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Pulled the rib roast out of the oven, came out to a perfect medium-rare. Also made some glogg for the first time which went down a treat. Watched Miracle on 34th Street, Home Alone is on now and after that Die Hard.

Going to be a good Christmas and an even better New Year.

Seems like he lost out on money in that trade, especially if he sold before around Jan 23 when the stock takes off for a bit.

Last year Dr. Paul completed the reporting form for an investment made by his wife using her own earnings, an investment which she has lost money on.

Doesn't say if that is a realized or unrealized loss. Need to do more digging but 15k is just a drop in the bucket for insider trading via Congress.

Australia, well on the way to criminalizing talking to women.

Same. I refused to watch any of GoT beyond the first season. Seeing how the ending of that series let everyone down was quite enjoyable though.

"Why are you happy people are losing their jobs?" Because they despise video games and the people who play them. Why would I not be happy? The sooner these grifting tourists are out of the industry the better.

We shouldnt believe anything from mainstream historians especially not anything big like i dont know.... ww2 or something

Isn't it just an amazing historical coincidence that the good guys always win and the bad guys always lose?

Started reading when A Feast for Crows came out (2005) on the recommendation of my friend's dad who started reading the series way back in 97/98. Back then I remember the ~5 year gap between Swords and Crows was a big deal to people. If only they knew.

Martin seems to have enough money and not enough motivation to finish the series. The guy should just throw a million at someone like Sanderson to ghost-write and finish the damn series. Not that I would care, I checked out of the books back in 2015 when it was obvious that Martin was more interested in making TV shows.
