I went to Barnes & Noble for the first time in about 10 years (I was watching my niece ice skate at the mall) and they had a huge section of these softcore pornographic books for women. Some had loving reviews hand written by the bookstore staff. I watched as women with ages ranging from 15-60s perused the shelves with great enthusiasm. Kind of weird to be surrounded by so many fujoshi.
When I was a kid, my mom used to go to used bookstores and fill up a grocery bag with harlequin romance novels to give to my grandmother. Grandma read lots of other stuff too, but she loved the bodice rippers.. Nothing new here!

Went to a BAM for the first time in... five years? No magazines, almost no adult nonfiction, tons of Funko Pops, tons of YA "romance".
