Fair. But the reformation of State Guard would at least be a start since they are answerable to the Governor rather than the Fed. You would just have to actually knuckle down and enforce some training regimes as well as find friendly arms suppliers. Which honestly may not be that difficult since so many arms makers are becoming fed up with the Left constantly trying to screw them. The harder would come in your heavy ordinance you outlined in the other post (naval and air power). That may require some creativity. Could help rebound the American shipping industry though if done right.

As far as I know, that is exactly what Florida and Texas have been doing. Florida reestalished their State Guard and is inviting people fired from the military to come join. And then Texas is encouraging disgruntled Border Patrol to join the Texas Rangers, and then has been using said Rangers to enforce border law (since now its Texas law they are breaking), as well as fighting the various cities doing stupid things in a very "One Riot, One Ranger" attitude reborn.

I suppose now, we just need to start convincing other states to do that. And considering most of the local elections are starting to be won by MAGA types, that bodes well for such strategies.

I think they are all great points, but I am going to play devils advocate here:

For the last two years, especially in massive cities like NYC, we have been dealing with and seeing situations were situations have gone 0-60 in an instant and people they thought where going to just simply assault them ended up becoming killers, usually because they were "disrespected" or some other stupid, pointless shit. And at the same time, these same locations have seen their police be kneecapped so that they can't actually enforce the laws as required.

So we have been seeing cases where people just do their own justice or defend themselves without really considering proportional force. Because they feel they have no options left so they need to take matters into their own hands.

And its why I like states like mine where the self-defense laws are extremely wide and the local culture favors self-defense. The example I always use was a local farmer shooting three burglars, killing two. And not only did he not get charged, not only did the sheriff issue him an award for "cleaning up the community", the surviving burglar was charged with the deaths on the grounds of "He is the one who convinced them it was a good idea, so its his fault they are dead." And a local jury said "Sounds reasonable. Guilty on all counts."

Now with all that said, I will admit that based on the video and the explanation from that defense expert you showed, I will admit that while I lean toward him being in the right on a gut level, I will admit that it is absolutely a dirty case and I wouldnt not be shocked if he was convicted of anything. Just that it feels wrong to me. Speaking as someone from that part of the country:

You dont hear about "Big Farm" (outside of Monsanto) because they are to busy doing real shit. They have more important things to be concerned about, and like most farmers and rural people are usually already on top of conservation efforts and making them work in the way it was originally intended (IE: balancing a need for nature and humanities needs, instead of worshiping Gaia or whatever the eco-nuts do). And in this part of the country, an endorsement from the state Farm Bureau can make or break someones political career.

Which all is to say: What they are doing in the Netherlands would never fly here. Because the second you tried, the Farm Bureau, the ranchers, and all of the relevant corps would just laugh in your face and keep doing their thing. Just like we did when Covid hit.

Hell, it even applies to those who got the shots but were not histrionic about the whole thing. Almost everyone I know has had at least two shots, no one has had any side effects from them, and no one has had "long covid."

There is actually a study I saw that showed that "long covid" does indeed exist...as a psychological issue, not a physical one. As in, people so utterly convince themselves that they have it that they experience all of the symptoms without anything actually being wrong, in much the same way a placebo works.

Can you guess what type of people are usually the ones displaying signs of this issue? Which would also explain the Blue Check Wokeist knowing so many?

Incidentally, we are starting to see that very thing happen right now. Cities are emptying out right now, and seeing millions move to different cities that are more sane, or even returning to smaller cities in smaller states. And while there was initial fear that these people would be Leftist infiltrators, new data shows that the overwhelming majority of them are dissidents fleeing the Cult of Progress. When the Leftist flee, they are doing it to the cities that are more radically devoted to the Cult, like Seattle and Portland.

And they are collapsing while the likes of Florida and Texas are thriving. And out here in the Midwest, there is an industrial rebound taking place as companies look to onshore in the face of the collapsing global order. I am curious what you mean by this. From all of the data, video, and other metrics I have seen, Ukraine is still holding their own through massive amounts of firepower donated by other nations (1), and have even gained back some territory. And while Russia has been finding some work arounds to the sanctions, they certainly arent winning the war. And this is before we get into the fact that Russia's energy industry is effectively running on inertia right now because they didnt really have the institutional knowledge to maintain it and the Western companies that did are gone now.

And while Ukraine has definitely been a hub of fronts for the Fabians and their global order, Zelensky (as much as some on here hate him) was elected and was working on running them out. I think a lot of people forget that the "Ukrainian Collusion" Trump supposedly committed was him talking with Zelensky about a joint investigation of Barisma, because Trump believed Americans were using it as a front and Zelensky believed Russian-backed forces were using it as a front. So while I do believe that the ones in charge are backing Ukraine for selfish reasons (that just so happen to be a good cause by accident), it's entirely possible they are saving the one who will help kill them in the end.

(1): And while I am on the subject, I am just going to say: I am actually fine with this. If the GWOT showed us anything, its that you cant give freedom to those who dont want it. There is another county in my state, three younger guys thought it would be a good idea to go rob Ol' Farmer Johnson out in the sticks. Turns out Ol' Farmer Johnson had his rifle, and he opened fire when they got in. One died on the spot, one died in the hospital, and one survived. The sheriff did nothing, and thanked him for cleaning up the community.

After interrogation, it was discovered that the survivor was the ringleader. So when it went to trial, he discovered that in addition to the "Attempted Robbery" and "Breaking and Entering" charges, he also had two counts of "Voluntary Manslaughter." The prosecutor argued that the reason was because he had convinced his buddies it would totally be a good idea to go rob this place, so he is directly responsible for their deaths. The Jury said "Sounds reasonable. Guilty on all counts."

The even more annoying thing is, it can be fun to play a character that has some sort of disability or crippling aliment. Not a typo. And it probably wouldnt be extreme by itself, but it went on top of a perfect storm of secondary issues outlined in the video that made it so that it did become a compounding factor.

EDIT: Another thing to point out is that while the kind of heat we are having right now is within the normal temperature range for summer, it came about a month early. So a lot of people were not ready for it.

So this is a farmer in Central Kansas (so not quite the same region, but right next door) giving his professional opinion on what happened with the supposed cattle die off. Some TLDR's:

1. "10,000 dead cattle" was across the entire state, which is utterly trivial in comparison to the 2.5 million heads of cattle in the state.

2. 2,000-3,000 of that was at a handful of feedlots in SW Kansas (around Dodge City and Garden City). Which he admits can be suspicious to the average layman, BUT...

3. That part of the state is usual dry and has very little humidity, and it had been fairly cool for most of the first part of the year. Then it rained frequently in the span of a few weeks and raised the heat and humidity. There had also been no wind, so the hot air was very stagnant and sitting over the area.

4. In the wake of a storm that recently rolled through, the heat and humidity increased significantly in a short timespan (the temp went up almost 20F in less than 48 hours).

5. There had been a heat burst in the area, which is a very localized and extremely rapid increase in heat, which can be extreme heat (over 120+ have been reported before). It happened overnight, when the cattle had already been stressed from a hot day, so they had had no real time to cool off.

6. Almost all of the deaths were Black Angus cattle, which are normally very vulnerable to heat. This goes doubly so for the ones at the feedlots, as they are fattened up, making them even more vulnerable to the heat than normal.

It was averaging about 95 F statewide, with some parts getting into the 100 F range. Its on the high end of the usual summer range, but it is "normal". What is not normal is that for the last several weeks it had been in the 80's, then we had a severe storm roll through a few days ago and it almost immediately jumped into the high 90's and 100's in the span of 48 hours or less. So not only would you have the stress of severe weather, you now have rapid heat rises.

And like I said, I dont imagine that ranchers had time to get barns ready, get shade out, get wells tapped, and the other usual things that happen in the leadup to high heat. Especially since this kind of heat usually doesnt hit until July or August.

Also, local news is showing that the 10,000+ number is an "extreme worst case" number, and the actual numbers that have been seen so far are closer to the 2,500-3,000 range. So there is some hyperbole present in the tweet.

EDIT: I did a little more looking. Almost all of the deaths were at feedlots around Dodge City and Garden City. So these are the cattle getting ready to go to the slaughter houses and are on their final week of getting as fattened up as possible. But there have been some feedlots down there that tend to overpack their lots to try and get as many heads of cattle as possible through all at once, and have been slapped by the Kansas Farm Bureau over it. So It absolutely wouldnt surprise me if these were all cattle that were packed in close and it just caused mass overheating not just from the heat, but the packed conditions.
