Funny yes, but he is right. Calling it this can confuse it with the classic std herpes.

To be fair, Mafia 3 was more about the Hatian mafia.

It is far more likely that a person with the proper set of tools can machine some parts for an older car than it is for someone to create parts for an EV, and as such...its smarter to use an older car these days.

I think part of it is the initial necessity being required, and then once you have begun the inventing/innovating in order to overcome the necessity that it then starts to foster a culture of doing those things. Which in a way, creates a positive feedback loop of further invention and innovation.

It also requires society as a whole standing behind and supporting the person who defended their self

So...I show you several days of the Ukrainian forces shelling civilian targets prior to the 24th of February (the date of the Russian invasion)...and you just ignore it because it happened in 2022?

Are you saying that Russia opened fire on the Ukrainians before February 24th? Show me the evidence of that if so.

A pacifist hippy idiot doesn't repeatedly shell civilian targets for years. Nor do they amass tens of thousands of troops just outside neighboring regions.

Honestly I kinda like it like this, as it lets me preview the thread without having to fully go into the thread

Fear. A bunch of guys in matching vehicles just pulled up, they are wearing bulletproof vests emblazoned with FBI and demanding entry and to have cameras turned off. A lot of people lack the guts required to refuse such demands, especially when its "in the moment."

Unlike with industry, this is food we are talking about. A far more immediately noticeable and unignorable facet of our society. They push this too hard, it will probably cause genuine revolt.

While I largely agree with you, do not underestimate the hubris of men drunk on power.

The 2nd amendment is the nuclear option of the citizenry. If the government goes maximum ape and starts "dealing with" its political opponents, the citizenry will revolt. Yes the government has APCs, tanks, and other weapons of mass destruction....but that doesn't stop the random joe with a rifle from putting a bullet between the eyes of [insert politically related individual here].

The chaos and pandemonium that would be caused is immeasurable, and realistically speaking it wouldn't take much of the population to cause an extreme headache for the government. If an issue shows up on the homefront, that is significant enough to require recalling our forces abroad, that will have massive geopolitical ramifications, ramifications that the government really does not want to deal with. Combine this with general unrest driving productivity into the floor and pandemonium throughout, and you swiftly end up in a fall of rome scenario.

I think its more that they view the actions of the democrats as forcing everyone else to not be selfish...by stealing peoples stuff and redistributing it. They do this while simultaneously not redistributing what they own themselves, and I feel like the average democrat strongly looks up to that facet. They want to force everyone else to give up their stiff while they keep their own stuff (and even take a bit on the side as payment from the masses for doing the so called societal good of redistribution)

This is only partly true, as they attack each other just as much. The whole situation is a mess and our culture constantly excusing their behavior is doing no one any favors.

The only way this would work is if it demonstrated extreme cunning. The only way someone can beat an extremely technloligicaly superior entity is via a great deal of trickery

It is sad that it has gotten to this point. Our medical institutions are destroying every last ounce of credibility they had.
