For what it's worth, ADV tried for years to make faithful, live action versions of Cowboy Bebop, Akira and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Which was really a way to get around the fact they lost out on the rights to Bebop and Akira, and to hang on long term to Eva.
Going by the current IMDB cast list, they don't have Ed listed. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1267295/fullcredits
I also can't believe that they thought a "6" would be a good fit for Faye.
They also vandalized many of those statues, by either knocking off the penises, or turning the genitalia into fig leaves. So the comparison is sadly apt.
Bundling it with my streaming package actually saved me money, and I really only use it for The Mandalorian.
He's whiter than I am, and we're both red.
I should also probably mention that Momoa would probably make a great Gurney Halleck, as he was not a small man; or an even better Beast Rabban. But Duncan Idaho is not the size of a doorway.
The description of Hwi Noree on page 205 of God Emperor of Dune.
"She did have that dark skin, though, the oval face with its regular features. Placid brown eyes stared back at Leto. And where Malky's hair had been grey, hers was a luminous brown."
Also, this might be the biggest part for Momoa, since the rumored plan was to adapt ALL THE BOOKS, and Duncan Idaho is all six.
The sad thing about Dune, is that there is plenty of what they want to force, later in the series. The woman that the God Emperor Leto falls for, she's black, also his enforcement arm the Fish Speakers are all female. Then you get the political power structure at the end is dominated by the Bene Gesserit and Honored Matres, both female.
I was going to say, watch them make Duncan Idaho a black female once his ghola comes up, but they cast Jason Momoa, which leads to all sorts of kvetching about the casting.
Not enough punk to be 80s, looks more 70s to me.
Oh gods, we all know that Gen Z and millennials would fall for a "Vaccinomon" propaganda campaign.
I used to give them money, now they can go burn in hell.
The Warp cares not about the belief of a single mortal, it cares for the beliefs and actions of the many. For instance, the Eldar are all that remain of their civilization after the decadence of their people over millennia led to the birth of Slaanesh and their subsequent sacrifice. The trauma of this birth caused so much damage to reality that the great warp storm it spawned, the Eye of Terror, still rages to this day.
As for the book, I'll have to hunt it down when I have time to read again.
I read a lot of 40k novels, and while it's been a few years, I'm unfamiliar with the genocide in question.
So they just forgot the "of thousands" part of the statement. /s
The aristocracy at least had Noblesse Oblige, this is just a bunch of petty tyrants.
'06 We still had ADV pushing out their decent dubs but with random budget titles. Bandai holding onto the Gundam/Giant Mecha market with a death grip. Then Pioneer/Geneon concentrating on quality, but overspending on every license.
Now all of that has pretty much been eaten up by Funimation, with Sentai being the bastard offspring of ADV picking up the scraps.
He-Man was a Mattel product, but I don't know if the rights have been transferred anywhere since.
Max gave space assuming that Hamilton would go for the apex of the turn, because that's what racers do. Instead Hamilton decided to pretend he was in NASCAR that corner.
I liked him when he first started, but after having far and away the best car for the past EIGHT seasons, where he STILL didn't win every year, he's become an insufferable whiney twat.
They were in the process of collapsing when Tiananmen happened, then we went and propped them back up.
Just a thought, wouldn't this also damage the Leftist bot farms?
"white mathematics"
Yes, because Al Gebra totally wasn't created by Muslims under the caliphate.
The Irish have entered the chat
The 90s did in fact suck, but it wasn't because it was "phobic", it's because all this snowflakey BS came from it.
Live action Goku already exists, I watched it in the theatre, alone. It was...okay? I mean it wasn't good, but I also can't definitively say it was bad.
