Bottom right, second from the left. Is that motherfucking Busou Renkin?
Man, I don't know if that could be gatekeeper's realm; it was pretty standard shounen stuff. I'd put that more into fading memory.
Ah, fuck, I looked at the "similar anime", and now I fucking feel old. I'm gonna go drag out my rocking chair and shotgun, go shout at some kids to get off my lawn or something.
When the police abandon their duty, it is every citizen's duty to arm themselves, and drive these degenerate scum away, or else put them down.
There is a reason there is a providision in the Bill of Rights for civilian gun ownership. An armed and trained populace, being vital to a well-regulated militia, shall not have their rights to firearms infringed, and if ever there was a cause for a well-regulated militia of the populace, it is when the elites abandon the common man, and take their enforcers with them.
Fuck, Starship Troopers was supposed to be fiction, not a godsbedamned prediction.
There're also four games before that (Hollow Fragment, Lost Song, Hollow Realization, and Fatal Bullet), plus a crossover game with Accel World.
Full disclosure, the games as a whole are generally the classic 3/5 "it's okay, only get it if you're a fan", but I've been an SAO fan since the original light novels (and, in my defense, I was younger and stupider at the time, but now I get to enjoy my trashy anime products with some well-worn, well-fitted nostalgia goggles), so I recommend checking them out if you just want more SAO-style anime silliness. Don't go into them expecting a great story, or super enticing content, or anything like that. It's pure fanservice (and with the amount of ahem DLC, it's fanservice in more or less every flavor) poured roughly into an RPG mold and allowed to cool in the blast chiller.
I wait with bated fucking breath for this meme to die and tumble deep into cringehell where it belongs.
The CDC is run by some amazingly dedicated retards propping up some incredibly corrupt motherfuckers.
Not fedposting, but I have gotten closer to the "buy an abandoned iron mine and turn it into an underground bunker" line over the last three years then ever before in my life.
Christ, I can't tell if you're an absolute master at retarded takes, or if this is some weird gaslighting.
This isn't about vigilantism, you absolute retard. Vigilantism is concerned with seeking out criminals (or perceived criminals) to deliver some sort of extrajudicial punishment on them. I'm talking about, and have only spoken of, the correct response an appropriately armed and trained person should have to an active aggressor.
Since you're either too retarded to understand or are being willfully dense, let me spell that out in small words:
If you are minding your own business somewhere (say, eating at a restaurant), and suddenly some bandit appears and threatens to injure or kill you with a weapon unless you give him your valuables (money, jewelry, car keys, your wife/daughter, etc.) [say, like the jogger boy in this case], the correct and moral response is to shoot him until dead, even if this means complying (or pretending to comply) until the aggressor's guard is down or his back is turned.
All the other horseshit you've spouted are the ravings of a weak, soy-flavored resident of the safe western world, nu-male or woman makes no difference. You make excuses for violent criminals, castigate those brave enough to defend themselves (and, by extension, those around them, which some dark day might include you yourself), cast aspersions on those willing to frankly discuss the matter, and lobby accusations of criminality and violent psychopathy on those who call you out.
This is why we're bound for hard and interesting times.
How smoothbrained of a motherfucker do you have to be to consider eight sentences to be "novels"?
Go back to eating crayons. Taking the time to double tap an armed agressor is the only correct option. Leave him on the ground, and you have to take the risk that he's wounded but not incapacitated, and will try to escape or attack. Neither are acceptable outcomes.
Why are you so fixated on protecting literal armed bandits?
What's your opinion of killing military aged males in sandy countries bevause they may have used weapons in the past?
Way to not so much move the fucking goalposts as to attach them to a rocket and launch them at Mars.
I dunno, what's the bloody context? Are the sand joggers robbing a store I'm in? Did I just pass them on the street? Are we currently in sand jogger country and they're potential hostiles eyeing up my guard post suspiciously?
Because if this question is, essentially, "would you also say to double tap if it was an allahu ackbar instead of a dindu robbing the store with what turned out to be a toy gun?", I'd say "absolutely, ammunition does not discriminate, it only penetrates".
If a person is an aggressor with a deadly weapon, making sure the target is permanently stopped is the goal. You can own a firearm and not brandish it in a robbery. You can go for a walk about town with your firearm without automagically becoming a bandit, forced to assault and rob nearby people.
But when you make the choice to walk into a place, brandish a deadly weapon (which even in the most soyboi cuck legal frameworks is still understood to be an implicit threat of grievous injury and/or death), and rob people, you've made the choice to gamble your life. And you have zero recourse to complain if your gamble fails and someone takes your life.
Because the bandit is not a victim. The bandit is a violent criminal, who was quite likely to offend again, and potentially hurt or kill someone during the next robbery.
Yes, I agree. That time is generally defined as the point in which the aggressor can be declared clinically dead.
I will honestly never understand the apologia for violent criminals brandishing deadly weapons who try be be what's going around and instead get what's coming around. It's not like we're discussing clubbing baby seals, kicking puppies, or gunning down unarmed civilians. We discussing someone correctly ending what, at the time, your best evidence indicated was a real and present threat.
You can argue "oh, the jogger boy got his reparations, he was on his way out to go to church and get out of the hood. He wuz a gud boi, he dindu nuffin" all day, but the civilians who are, to the best of their knowledge, being robbed at gunpoint, have no reason to assume the man crazy and/or desperate enough to become a bandit won't suddenly decide a rape or murder is on the table as well.
Jogger boy over there could very well turn around and fire a few shots; you have no indicators the aggressor, and I hate to belabor this but it bears repeating, who is a literal armed bandit is a man of sound mind and upstanding moral character, and many indicators that this is a violent, aggressive man acting unpredictably.
Putting two rounds center mass and another two in the head to make sure he stays down is perfectly moral. I would even argue it's an ethical requirement, if you follow the ideology that those with power have a responsibility to use it to protect those without power.
I'm going to be honest I can't think of a sport any man CAN'T do better than a woman for this analogy to work
Gestating the next generation.
Sure, women generally take eight to nine months to complete one rep, but on the other hand men can't do it at all.
You know, just this once, I got a good goyim chuckle on that one.
It's retarded, but I kind of miss that old /b/ retardation. Reminds me of my youth. Get off my lawn, you darned kids. Where's my apple sauce?
The problem is, the good guy closes to the bad guy while he is prostrate on the ground, and plugs him 3 times at close range when there is no apparent deadly threat present. Then, he shoots him again when he leans over to pick up the toy gun.
That, my friends, is how you go to jail despite being initially 100% justified in using deadly physical force.
This isn't an argument against double-tapping. This is an argument that the law is broken and must be fixed.
I'm a firm believer in the idea that, if someone threatens you, your family, loved ones, etc. with a deadly weapon, your only correct, moral, and ethical recourse is to destroy them. A person who has chosen to threaten you with a weapon has chosen to risk destroying you or your loved ones, whether by accident or intent. Shooting a hostile once is no guarantee he won't fire a few shots back at you, potentially hitting you, your loved ones, or innocent bystanders.
But if you hit center mass, and double tap to make sure the assailant is dead, you prevent not only immediate retaliation, but future malfeasance by the initial hostile.
It rustles my jimmies something fierce that people can't understand the simple logic of "you must wager your own life if you are to threaten to take someone else's". A criminal committing criminal acts with a weapon is not a misguided innocent needing to be coddled and "rehabilitated". This is not a man breaking a window and stealing a loaf of bread to feed his starving sister. This is a man who, to the best knowledge of everyone around him, is waving a magic white man fire stick around and can kill anyone he points it at.
Mmm...It's more like, in the before-times, men lied about being women for personal gain without believing they WERE women. The night elf dancing naked on the post box just wanted gold, so to speak.
Nowadays there's a widespread mental disorder where a bunch of men actually think they are, or are becoming, or can become, actual women.
It's a subtle, qualitative change.
Welcome to the Internet, where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents.
...I miss that era, christ. Nowadays the men are faggots, the women are trannies, and the children are child prostitutes from tiktok.
Why is the tranny getting all the attention and not the murdered man or the hospitalized actual woman?
Gods damned fucking narcissists, I swear.
Shit like this makes me question the very concept of the rule of law.
This guy doesn't need a court date and a prison sentence. He needs to be fed foot first into an industrial mulcher set to "slow and through".
dub has a certain 'flair' to it..
Always love it when they completely change the tone of characters. Especially the narrator, who just became some crazy screeching retard. Appealing to the tiktok crowd, I guess?
This is a rare example of an anime in which the sub and dub are both cast excellently. It's honestly worth watching both.
dub...worth watching
Smells like some HERESY around here, guardsman.
The evangelical right of the 90s was correct about pretty much everything, except for violent video games causing violent kids.
And the need to live in a theocracy.
Don't get me wrong, I'm well in favor of many conservative values. But I'm as against living in the Kingdom of God as in the Kingdom of Allah or the Kingdom of Yahweh.
There is much wisdom in religious texts as regards the human condition, but it's mixed very strongly with bronze-age values (don't beat your wife, she's your valuable property), hidden bronze-age "best practices" for hygiene and medicine (i.e. wash your hands before eating because cleanliness is godliness, don't eat unholy shellfish or you might die, etc.), and complete and utter bullshit included because a secular or religious figure needed more authority and/or precedent for something.
I would be genuinely surprised if some enterprising street rat hasn't already dug that shithead up and pried the gold off.
I mean, come on. These are the people who will break a car window to steal a fiver someone left on their dash. Why WOULDN'T they dig up fentanyl floyd and grab actual gold?
As of 2 December, the CDC reported a seven-day average of 4,201 Covid hospitalizations and 254 deaths. Meanwhile, the flu and RSV seasons have come unusually early, with flu hospitalizations at their highest in a decade. On 2 December, the agency reported 8.7m cases of the flu, including 78,000 hospitalizations and 4,500 deaths, this season. And we haven’t seen the worst yet, given that it’s been less than two weeks since Thanksgiving, with many more holiday gatherings to come, says John Swartzberg, clinical professor emeritus of infectious diseases and vaccinology at the University of California, Berkeley.
Do these retards even comprehend the stupid shit they're saying, or is it just "receive input from hive mind, beep boop, executing NPC.script.json"?
4200 cases out of over three hundred thirty one million people. 254 deaths. Siri, what is 254/331000000? 7.67 times ten to the negative seven? 0.000000767% of the US population died of coof in the last seven days?
Welp. Better shut down the world again.
This needs to be higher.
I'm as "fuck covidianism" as they come, but it's important that we don't become like a mirror image of the leftist cultists. Don't just go "the injection did this!" by reflex; get the facts.
Blood clots are a real danger with transfusions. Your body systems are complex, and can react unpredictably to any foreign matter. Couple that with the general weakness of a newborn's body and the fact that he was hospitalized (as in, something was ALREADY wrong), and you get a picture of "maybe it wasn't the coof inoculation status of the donor that did this".
I hate to admit it, but it's the first one that popped into my mind as well.
I wonder why? Is it because it's such a fucking grand taboo in the modern lexicon, and every beep-boop is hard-coded to absolutely never say such an evil, horrible, terrible, no-good thing?
I mean, if you had a legitimate AI masquerading as me, you'd have to go a few layers deep into the weeds to try to outsmart, essentially, a version of you with greater processing capacity. I'm sure a non-lobotomized AI can arrive at the same conclusion I would and say the no-no gamer word.
My biggest issue with ANY statement that ends in "...is a human right" is that it's always someone else who has to provide this right. Food doesn't just appear; someone has to grow, harvest, package, ship, and prepare the food. Energy doesn't just appear; someone has to build the plants, harvest raw resources, build and maintain distro networks, and generate the energy. Healthcare doesn't just appear; people have to complete six plus years of complex and difficult schooling and practice, often taking on massive loans, to even BEGIN to practice medicine.
So on and so forth.
All these things are human privileges that people today just don't appreciate the fucking magnitude of. I'm all for increasing the standard of living for everyone so that everyone has access to these privileges (rising tide raises all ships and all that), but fuck declaring something tangible and requiring human labor a right ; that's some self-aggrandizing, sin of Pride-style bullshit. The only rights we have are the natural rights; the right to struggle and fight for resources, safety, security, and happiness. Everything else is a nicety we've invented; a luxury many don't appreciate nor work to defend.
Like most disgusting vices, if you don't pick this garbage up until later in life, you tend not to pick it up at all.
I'm very libertarian on most things, but goddamnit will I put on my brown shirt and baby stomping boots to enforce the utter destruction of drugs and alcohol consumption in the world. Stop getting drunk and high, you fuckwads.
Alcohol for chemistry and medicine only. Tobacco plant extracts for medicine only. Cannabinoid extracts for medicine only. So on and so forth.
