Wow 21 days xD

I mean, given that this was a major initiative by what is "supposedly" a major company this is kind of on the legendary failure level.

Yeah, cause they never realize how hey.... having insurance costs money, and yeah, the insurance companies pass these costs down to the customer in one way or another. They act like "you have insurance" is just a way for them to steal from the rich when all it does is cost the people who have to buy insurance more.

Look, I am not saying that America is perfect, but gosh it is so laughable when you hear people talking about "super racist America" cause it is pretty clear they half the time haven't really been to near ANY other country.

The thing is too, the quality of the speedruns have really gone down too since it changed. It used to be semi-seriously taken [but still lighthearted fun] of running through the games as fast as they can... now when you see a GDQ run it is basically people just advertising their twitch stream and hardly caring if they really get a good time just goofing off.

Look, I never expect for someone to get a world record in a GDQ, but when you are going to perform, and this is supposed to be the top of the top for speedrunning, at least act like you are trying to get good score lol

[I will give leeway when they have donation incentives that would harm their time, but other than that...]

Yeah, it was really crazy what happened to speedrunning. It used to be just some dudes, maybe a bit obsessively, playing same games they loved..., and then after gdq got big after a few years.... suddenly 7000 trannies appear and now speed running is half a trans thing now when it wasn't hardly before....

Seriously though, watch those early GDQs... the old ones. They are not as extravagant but they are just a bunch of people in a small room having a blast playing video games. Now they are just hey watch my twitch also I am trans I guess PLEASE GIVE ME ATTENTION.

Related to that, what the heck is it with every website no longer having a real search function :P?!

Give me back internet of 20 years ago and their search functions back please.

I think it doesn't help that, there were a lot of just fun characters in that movie. The funny take on deadbeat peter parker, the pig, detective noir guy, etc...

and then you have Miles.... who just kinda is there and I guess he wears a hoodie and if he concentrates on a really dumb song he can go invis... also maybe he has electric powers?[it seemed like even the writers forgot he had that half way through the movie]

If the other characters were just as bland maybe he could have stood out... but he just kind of exists in a movie of way better spidermans that made me think I wish the movie was just about them :P

I have only seen the trailer, but honestly as much as I like the idea of the multi-spidermans....

The whole premise from the trailer, if the trailer wasn't ling, just sounds SO stupid. I mean it legit makes Dr. Strange and Peter look kinda moronic. Like, oh no the memories are gone.... just freakin' tell her again or whatever [I forget it all been a while since I watched the trailer but it was something like this plus some others....]

As far as I can tell, to me the MJ thing was just a cowardly cop out. They wanted to race swap MJ, but they were too scared to fully do it so they can call her MJ but then have the lame excuse "WELL it is a DIFFERENT MJ and not really Mary Jane but Michelle whatever."

That is my theory. Just a cowardly cop out where they want the race swap but are too scared to actually fully do it.

Yeah, Spiderverse was ok, but honestly the main character, Miles or whatever, to me was the most boring part of the movie [and in turn, too much of the movie was wasted on that character which wasn't very interesting]. I legit found nothing interesting about that character and only wanted to see more about ALL the other spidermen[womens] in the movie. Those characters were fun, while Miles just kinda was.... there....

He just was an annoying kid that got in the way of all the fun in the movie to me, and not even interesting enough to care for any character development into spiderman.

Maybe he is better in the comics or something?

How dare you require them to have to think creatively instead of being leeches off of others work writing bad fanfic with pathetic gender and race swaps!

He really isn't much of a peter Parker. I mean his character personality doesn't really match that well.

I will give you that, actually thinking back there were a couple episodes that were OK with him. And yeah, I recall them being basically Picard focused one.

Lol as silly as this all is, how is it that all their customers named Brandon are not pretty dang insulted by this? Kinda messed up.

I always wondered if I was the only one who couldn't really stand him on the show. He really did suck.

It is like, every episode he was in, he wasn't particularly smart, but it was like the rest of the crew magically became incompetent idiots, including Data lol. Oh there were a couple ok parts of his character but mostly it sucked.

Well, it is "technically correct" xD but a completely meaningless phrase that can only exist to obfuscate or confuse from the truth.

It is like saying, I stabbed my neighbor with a knife 200 times but am otherwise not a murderer. See if that works for ya in court xD

Not even the modern evolutionary scientist community actually agrees. They recently had a whole thing trying to figure out a new theory even because there are too many problems with the current theory. I am not saying here it isn't true or claiming that, but you are way off the wild end on it and clearly someone who has not actually followed where the real science is. You live in the realm of pop science, not where the real evolutionary scientists even stand [who are people who DO support that]. It is ok though, most people don't realize the massive chasm in evolutionary science between pop science you see in news/magazines/books/everywhere vs the actual peer reviewed literature of current evolutionary biology where the actual scientists currently working through the theories and ideas are.

Sorry I would type more but you literally don't have the free will to believe anything your chemistry tells you not to believe including that this text is something entirely different than what I actually typed. [and I am not speaking physical observation]

5
Hyponoeo 5 points ago +5 / -0

If there is no free will why should you believe any of the evidence you get from science on any topic? There is no reason to and in fact you shouldn't. Science requires free will to actually be science, otherwise you are just reacting to whatever your chemistry says.

Honestly, good luck to you but no interest in talking with someone who "has no free will" because there is no point to it anyway hahaha So good day to ya.

Math is a huge problem for it for real. Like, beyond astronomical problem for it.

Oh people have totally ran the numbers before, for quite a while in fact has this been known, and there have been many books written about this. Just doesn't get brought up because it is "CONFIRMED SCIENCE."

7
Hyponoeo 7 points ago +7 / -0

Bit of a false dichotomy there are other options unless I guess you believe in no free will and you are just a moist robot subject to your chemistry and nothing more. There are other ways. Not saying I know what is right, but even aside from the genetic studies there are a lot of logical problems with it being simply genetic.

That aside, it actually isn't even a good defense against those who have a moral problem with people being gay [which is what 90% of people use it as, a very poor defense], once again unless you believe there is truly no free will then why does it matter for us to discuss this anyway if there is no free will xD.

So I have an Aussie friend when I ask him about all the Covid stuff seems to just stick with "mr neutral" and not wanting to take sides.....

Is this totally legit so I could use it to really stick it to him :P? or is he going to give me some answer about hwo these are not technically really concentration camps.... I guess I am asking just how legit is this... or are we hyping them up as concentration camps?
