That's not socialist - it's saying that the government cannot do A alone, only A+B together. If the government does not hold you for questioning, they incur no obligation to provide you legal counsel. It's no different than saying that the government has to give you food if they put you in jail.
It's proving difficult to actually find any information about other countries' tariffs right now, but if the tweet is correct then they are correct to complain: Trump is within his rights to threaten retaliatory tariffs on countries that tariff American exports, but if they remove their tariffs then your retaliatory tariff should also be 0%.
I think it's ridiculous to arrest this man for this. I don't think it's a great idea - if the baby needs their nappy changed or the six year old gets it into their head that running off to find dad would be a good idea, I wouldn't trust a ten year old to handle it - but if I was the police officer I'd encourage him to find a more robust solution if he gets the job and wish him luck with the job interview.
There are times to do the dual role gimmick and this is not one of those times. It's not like Tom Hardy in Legend, where he played twin brothers who should obviously share a family resemblance despite their different personalities, De Niro playing the heads of two crime families just comes off as an ego play.
The whole "vibe" of it is that we're in the wrong and now we need to be punished for it. Notice the way they talk about "consequences for U.S. officials" and how this will "negatively impact" our "relationship" with "such a strong ally."
Yes, because it's a convenient stick to beat Trump with. They don't care that it's Israel saying it, just like they don't care that American journalists are the enemy who were invited to eavesdrop on the conversation.
no more voting.
There are only two reasons to not vote - if you believe the election is an ambush or if you believe you can shame the government with their low turnout. Neither is true here, so there is no reason to tell people not to take advantage of even the easiest tool in your arsenal.
The dot is a fairly common one. It has nothing to do with religion, it's because of the ambiguity between x as a multiplication sign and x as a variable in algebra - you don't want to write something like "y = 4xx^2 + 2xx + 1".
I'm going to assume the target of the change is either sex (no longer mandating unisex facilities) or national origin (allowing sensitive contractors to refuse to hire people from untrustworthy countries like China).
take them back
I hate left-wing revanchists. What they all have in common is that they want to "take back" things that were never theirs to begin with, from "decolonising" the native homeland of the British people, to Communist China wanting to invade Taiwan, to the post-revolution Ukrainian government wanting to finish their conquest of the Ukraine-that-was.
This is a problem all across the West because our governments are all the same left-wing globalist scum. The colonisers won't fight for your country, the left won't fight for your country and the right won't fight for you while you're betraying your country.
Yes, but that's stupid. It's stupid to declare Snow White the most just if she's not being given any authority with which to be unjust, and it's stupid for the Queen to be in second place for most just if murder is her strategy for taking the top spot.
I kept an open mind for forty seconds. He had his chance to not actively be part of the problem, and he failed by blaming the victims of his people's crimes for trying to protect themselves.
