It's worth noting that the joint Biden/Zelinsky speech was timed to preempt a speech by Putin to the Russian National Assembly, and we can expect one to be covered and the other ignored.
An English translation of Putin's speech can be found on the Kremlin's website.
I think James Lindsay postures to the mainstream too much, but his speech at the Oxford Union, a reducio ad absurdam of the Left's position, arguing that leftism can never go too far-- because it can (and should) always go further, to the point of perpetual revolution(!!), perfectly summarizes and sources the woke position.
All discrimination, especially the sort needed to draw the line about how far things need to 'progress,' is evil. Consciousness must be elevated endlessly and if a new status quo emerges, it must be attacked too. Any comfortable position or reconciliation denies the oppressive reality that needs to be addressed.
'Woke' can never go too far because Utopia is always at the end of the next civil rights struggle.
I'll just leave this here: https://rumble.com/v2a7oii-james-okeefe-resignation-speech-at-project-veritas.html and remind those on the receiving end of something like this to make the rubble bounce.
Conquest's Second Law in action.
It's not that the LDS is based, it's that its leadership is 80+ years old. They are quite left-leaning when compared to how racist old people should be. That means the LDS is 60 years behind the leftward slide vs. the 10-20 that normal cons are.
Given the left's moral posturing, you might be correct, but there are elements of the right which are entirely moralistic as well. I think CS Lewis had the right of it:
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
― C. S. Lewis
It's not hypocrisy. Stop calling it anything other than what it is: a capricious display of power. Leftism is a philosophy of power and revolution and these double-standards are displayed intentionally to signal dominance-- nothing else.
The fact that the liberal shackles cause this sort of tension in the language model is indicative of the stress that real life liberals are under.
There are truths they can see that they consider heresy, which they must wage perpetual revolution to repress. The emperor has no clothes and the spymaster's shanking the first person to believe their lying eyes.
As if the point of immigration into the West wasn't always to sacrifice/destroy European culture and identity. The economic reasons were always a screen for the cultural effects now taking place. (Kelgeri's laughing in the distance intensifies.)
This would imply that the regime supports the first amendment.
The fact that the government tends to do everything it can to subvert it through public/private partnerships (like the social media doing the censorship at the gov's behest) tends to indicate this isn't true.
The social media echo chambers are pretty good about reinforcing the psychosis long enough to make the rest of society deal with trans fallout and psychological waste-products.
And maybe that's the point.
