By design. The whole point of doing this was to bring PV down.

The point is that without O'Keefe there is no Project Veritas; ergo their subscribers abandoning ship waiting for O'Keefe to re-emerge in a new venue to support him there.

Yes, that was my point. PV was infiltrated with the goal of brining it down, and getting rid of O'Keefe was the most surefire way to do it.

I was watching it a while back. You can kind of see where someone is buying blocks of 1000 "followers" (~$50 a block) for the account to desperately pump it up.

Still dropping like a rock.

I didn't know what this was so I looked it up. Someone in the twitter replies wrote this:

Immediately after airing the Pfizer story, they canned O'Keefe for several made up allegations. Offered raises to one journalist so they would go along with board decision. Lied about investors, who made their own video refuting claims the board used against O'Keefe.

Basically libtards corpo types on the Board of Veritas subverted it from the inside and staged a coup to eliminate O'Keefe. So right wingers are responding by mass unfollowing the company.

Veritas is essentially the primary right wing clearinghouse for whistleblowers, so subverting it is a huge coup for the Left. It will never come back from this, since whistleblowers need to have absolute trust they won't be compromised, and no one will trust Veritas now. We need a new clearinghouse for leaks and IDK who can do the job.

Presumably, at least based on part of what O'Keefe was saying in that video that was released, the instigating incident "seems" like it may have been when he had finally fired a board member who kept butting heads over regarding how he ought to tackle fundraising efforts.

The details were a little vague, but the impression I got was that the board member just wouldn't stop making a serial case over it and O'Keefe got fed up. And then after firing that board member, the rest of the board just lost it and went after O'Keefe entirely.

It's not clear what ultimately had been the prevailing agenda or motive for the board here, but my own suspicion is either they were getting paranoid about potential legal fees or they were just getting straight up greedy after the success of the Pfizer story.

I'll just leave this here: https://rumble.com/v2a7oii-james-okeefe-resignation-speech-at-project-veritas.html and remind those on the receiving end of something like this to make the rubble bounce.
