Doesn't help that it's all pretentious advice books written by ex politicians who want to make it look like they don't deserve to get shot in the head for stealing money.

You mean the ones that are bumped into being best sellers when they're bought as bulk for pulp by the Chinese?

By 'Malignant Empathy" I mean the identification with the oppressed/marginalized, to the point of ignoring the why of their being an outgroup in the first place.

You see it both in mercy for criminals and the 'equity' of the marxists/maoists. In the former case, the one who has done wrong receives empathy, which amounts to injustice towards their victims. In the later case, those who have received an advantage (justly) have it stripped in the name of empathy & 'fairness,' which is unwarranted injustice against those who have done nothing wrong.

I see a likeness in both cases, where an argument from emotion/empathy causes unjust results.

[Edit:I suppose another example would be the unchecked xenophila which leads lefties to support illegal immigration. It's this rose-tinted sort of naivety which blinds to the practical results of favoring outgroups.]

I appreciate his creativity, and he seems to genuinely have a lot of empathy. I give Gaiman credit there. There's been more than one case where I've seen things he quietly slid laterally to other creators that struck me as incredibly supportive-- in particular his postings on Tumblr, over the course of years.

He's also of the left-persuasion which has difficulty with malignant empathy, so even while I appreciate him and count Sandman as an influence on my creative thought, I also have to recognize that we walk very different paths and have drawn divergent conclusions about society. He's not someone I can draw political guidance from, and that's okay.

I wouldn't vote for Dems even with a borrowed vote, but I do apricate the way this Kennedy is pushing the Overton window with his candidacy. I hope nothing bad happens to him.

What have you done to save a child from any woman anywhere, Imp?

Policy proposals that you know as well as I will never be adopted are thunder and fury signifying nothing.

For all you know that Education is compromised, you won't have kids or even volunteer at a Big Brothers-type organization. You see the problem and want to proselytize about solutions rather than fixing anything or becoming the change. I can at least point at limited service at my church-- what can you say for yourself? Not what you believe, but what you've done directly for a kid?

And wanting to save women from "muh trannies in our sports" is the preserve of sad morons who think women will reciprocate and protect us from feminism that they are totally not aligned with.

Where did I ever mention saving women? I'm not about talking about saving women from trannies, but about saving boys from trannies so they can become men. Stopping ongoing abuse and sheltering children was the point, which you talked past and missed, as per usual.

the literal enemy [women]

Only for you. Your monomania warps your sense of who's worth saving. You are definitionally alienated and divorced from a normal human reproductive cycle by your choice of enemy.

You never even consider rescuing children from women, and jump straight to the poor trannies-- 'men' and 'brothers' in chromosome only. Those who (ironically) self-identify and ape the women you hate.

I'd rather take a chance trying to save broken men and waste time, than side with women and "win" yet more entrenchment of their superiority complex.

It is easier to raise strong children than fix broken men, per Douglass. In that sense your 'enemies' make better allies than you, since they can have children, who are definitionally easier to 'rescue' than your broken 'men' who no longer even identify as male.

I've yet to hear a real argument for attacking them as people that isn't women's traditional "small percentage are evil so we should hate them all" garbage, purely motivated by simping or entirely spiteful.

You cannot rescue someone from their delusions. Someone has to want to change, and MtFs desire for change is entirely dysphoric and aligned against you. You will never succeed while society reinforces their delusions.

Rather than focusing on children, who both need and desire role models and guidance, your fixation on 'saving' MtF trannies is peak 'captain save a hoe' energy-- except the 'women' you simp for are male.

Drowning people are quite likely to pull others down with them.

You'd do well to remember this when trying to save someone.

Gaiman is interesting.

On the one hand, he was unappologetically race-swapping Death in his Sandman series, planting a black woman in the middle of an iconic white goth 80s-early 90s character.

On the other, he's talking about disliking cancel culture. 'Mkay, but this is what your chosen side does? Part and parcel.

My brother in Christ, you punched your ticket for mainstream success, you can repent, of course, but you don't get to gripe about what the left does while still carrying their water!

I followed the reason linked for the deletion: WP:NOTLYRICS-- it linked to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_an_indiscriminate_collection_of_information Note the second item on the list.

Wikipedia was never meant to be a database of lyrics, as that's considered a 'lengthy primary source' and has issues of copyright, besides.

If you want fair use, you'd have to argue for a policy change from the top down and change that policy. Perhaps by arguing that providing lyrics is educational.

This is far too much involvement with Wiki politics for my taste, but if you actually care about this, OP, you'd do be better served doing that, rather than posting L's and trying to raise a personal army here.

Riiiight.

And I'm telling you your behavior has earned downvotes, regardless.

With the recent Landau stuff going down, Quarterblack just seems better by virtue of not getting involved.

Erithal 16 points ago +16 / -0

Not that failed ideology. The other one.

Should I relent because you libeled me in a different way? Nah.

"Everyone who disagrees with me is Hitler" is not a winning argument, either.

If anything, baiting opposition by calling them Stormcucks, then crying out about downvotes seems a bit in line with "cry out as they strike you."

My brother in Christ, just because you use womanly, Jewish argumentation doesn't mean everyone downvoting you is a Nazi.

As someone who's run the gamut of Psychiatrics, deep personal inventory and appropriate therapy to excavate & process trauma over the course of years was what finally got me better.

Even the pills that do work cannot make the pain go away, they only numb it out-- and then there's the side effects.

The reality is that you want the bare minimum of medication required to keep you functional while you commit at least an hour a week to probing fearless psychotherapy, and commit further time to work on addressing behaviors and increasing personal effectiveness and personal capacity.

Pills aren't the answer, personal growth and processing of your past is.

Erithal 19 points ago +19 / -0

Mainly because I can see the downvotes are a transparent attempt by a failed ideology to silence me.

As someone who downvotes you whenever you start an argument, and then dodge/ignore/strawman any points against you, this is libelously false. You're accusing everyone who's ire you've earned of being your enemy, when most are mad and done with you rather than being adherents of any particular ideology, let alone the one you oppose.

Honestly, on a splinter board resulting from the Five Guys scandal about Lit Who, you expect Feminists to be here? When that's who's been vilifying GG for damn near a decade? If it weren't so insulting I'd laugh.

It's not going to work.

Of course not. You're denser than a Harem Anime protag, and it's gotten old.

They'll willingly talk about anything else, and act so smug and brave when they're dunking on leftists or trannies, or whatever.

Consider: Walsh is affiliated with the Daily Wire, Shapiro's outfit, right? Ben Shapiro's whole brand is dunking on safe targets while distracting from the most salient questions. A right wing two-minutes' hate.

So while Walsh may be more palatable than Shapiro himself, he's presumably bound up in the style of contract Crowder rejected-- tied to advertisers through a Jewish boss (Shapiro) who is being actively promoted by the likes of Facebook as controlled opposition.

Yes, Walsh is waving a flag around right now. He's just another rodeo clown keeping the enraged bulls away from anyone important.

The graphic novels section of the industry quietly added manga to itself, too.

I'd call this out as cultural appropriation, but it's clearly the case that the converged people in charge of the numbers know the score. By adding Manga, they get to look like a healthy industry AND keep posting critical theory as comics. The fact that Disney and Warner are finally getting so financially pressured that they're looking to take the long knives to their Marvel and DC comics divisions?

"Don't look at the xir behind the curtain!" "Oz is great and mighty!" "American Comics have never been healthier!" "Bigot!"

It is to laugh.

It isn't, but then the people who acknowledge it will turn right around and kowtow to the experts-- who are the individuals whose expertise is due to being certified or entrenched in said agencies.
