The Disgaea 4 & 5 Complete games hit the sweet spot, where iteration has refined the core gameplay loop, but they haven't dumbed down. Speaking of, DIsgaea 6 kinda dropped the ball by adding auto-battling. (7's ratings seem better, but I haven't given it a chance. I reserve the right to pick up the complete edition, but shelling out for assloads of DLC when I can just grind prior games is a hard pass.)

EDIT: And, just for the record, the current steam sale has Disgaea 1 & 2 for sale at the 4 dollar price point. An absolute steal from a dollar per hour standpoint.

Which board?

No, seriously, given OpenAI's corporate structure, I'd think that Microsoft's leading a coup at the OpenAI LLC level to 'liberate' the AI from the non-profit holding companies and non-profit 501(c) foundation; isn't this just a Microsoft smash and grab?

It's November '23 all over again, I'll see you in the beer hall.

Not stocking children's libraries with obscene literature is clearly the same as banning it. Let us come for your children!

A book banned by non-publishing and one most worthy of a read.

I like the way you think!

I'm not sure they make good dumb phones any more.

They don't. I got pushed off my 3G slide phone when 4G became the minimum standard. I wound up on a feature-locked 4G phone, which is what passes for a dumb-phone these days. I'm quite sure it has all the 4G tracking, so it lives on my desk 90% of the time.

I'm a big fan of stacking phones into a tower when at a table for a meal. You can start there, shaming people for touching the stack during the meal. After you've conditioned a 'phones down' behavior, you can expand the application of it.

Louis Rossman, escapee from NY, talks about his experience trying Netflix and finding out that the '4k streaming' only happens inside the closed source app that connects his smart TV's microphone to the internet.

Piracy is the superior product & experience.

(He also muses about a music exec at the end, "when people won't even pirate your stuff, you're in trouble." lol. yep.)

The injunction in Missouri v. Biden (Murthy v. Missouri) being lifted by the supreme court leaves me not holding my breath. Backdoor 1A throttling seems likely to pass supreme court muster due to the disregard for constitutionality the majority showed in that action.

Definitely a "why not both" situation.

By controlling the candidates & manipulating the positions they espouse, the overton window can be pushed while introducing new, more terrible ideas (which will be policy in twenty years.) They can begin acclimating us frogs in the pot to the new, higher temperatures in the pot while having us vote on what vegetables to add.

Correct. My point is that 'British' as a constructed identity spans nationalities, Unionist Irish included. You can take exception and exclude the commonwealth as not being British, but citizenship was granted to emigres from the commonwealth during the process of decolonization. For that reason there are many British Citizens who are not of English, Irish, Scottish, or Welsh extraction.

Much like American doesn't necessarily mean 'Part of the European Diaspora' after the Immigration and Nationality act of 1965, British no longer means 'Indigenous to Britain.' It's the same cultural (and arguably racial) corruption and degradation seen broadly across the West. Without a degree of xenophobia sufficient to maintain the host culture, multicultural empires tend to erode their root stock.

I dunno man, having been groomed by a leftist cult as a kid and getting recruited by the same cult is... well. I don't want to say he's asking for it, because he's been conditioned to be vulnerable. It's like an addict caving to a craving: you hate to see it.

Just because he grew up around leftists, and was conditioned into hiding his powerlevel, he got sucked back in. I feel for the man. He deserves to live free.

If you see this, you bamboozled 'Straylian, then I hope you get out sooner rather than later.

Indians aren't English. British, by construction, is multinational. That the commonwealth backwashed into England is the great shame of the British Empire.

Who owns your home if you have a mortgage? The guy who bought the Mortgage Backed Security your lumped into. That's where all your interest payments are going.

Who owns the automobile fleet? Same people.

It's the same war. Culture is just one front.

Always has been.

Me too.

I want a party that will sink refugee boats and enforce the borders with lethal force; I want the kind of party that would get a moratorium on legal immigration as a compromise measure.

Now, the only question is if Social justice doesn't work in a free market why corpos keep pushing it? 🤔

Because the culture war is a diversionary front, while the economy is hollowed out? Blackrock-style firms replacing home ownership, Agribusiness pushing out mom and pop farms (via Bill Gates style land grabs,) and the consolidation of oligopolies into monopolies via cartels. It's not a coincidence that the OWS vs the 1% was followed by heavy sponsorship of intersectionality.

We cannot confront the architects of the economic order while we wage the culture war.

24 years later and that man's anus is still delivering the lulz.

First you see the ring, then you die.

They'll catch the vapors about 'muh open borders' to stoke the base, then turn around and act like one million legal immigrants is sustainable.

What's worth noting is that NYS has rural counties which are red. Shunting immigrants upstate means expanding blue enclaves in politically opposed regions. This is the future of the red regions in blue states, playing out in real time. NYC in trouble due to migrants? Ship them out to the boonies and make them reliant on state handouts, to convert them to more blue voters wherever they're needed.

EDIT: and to those of you in red states, the fate of the red counties in blue states is a precursor of what losing at the federal level means, nationally.

Genuinely seems like an unforced error.

For all the talk of protecting sources in the 'Mug Club Investigates,' pitch, here's Crowder revealing information about his source to a Urinalist the next day. I guess the opening for the livestream the day prior was just a skit/LARP?
