I know some people think their appeal is in being mysterious
Because modern day writing quality is that bad any expansion on decades old lore will only ever take the form of shitty retcons. Elder Scrolls have been out for years now, mostly because they keep regurgitating Skyrim again and again, that certain lore aspects have been repeated countless times such as the fact the dwarves aren't around. Anyone who tries to properly tell that story has to deal with the following:
-
Normies and new players who don't know any of this because they don't pay attention and just want to hit things with an axe.
-
Long term fans who will never be satisfied with whatever explanation is thought up because the concepts being discussed are that old the mystery involved is now the appeal.
It was always fun jumping around like a crack fueled rabbit wielding an 8 foot long shard of glass to shank random Daedra and Golden Saints with in Morrowind. Ofc glass weapons also broke very quickly. Because they were made of glass... 🙄
multiverse theory
Given you read comics if you haven't read the older, original Exiles runs from Marvel they can be quite interesting as it involves AU versions of various X-men characters working together and regularly kills off members to bring in new ones.
There's also the obvious "What if...?" series as well as the Marvel multiverse in general.
AI version has a better face, better hair, better muscle contours on the arms and knees, better wrist and waist orientations, and might just have decided a generic background was more suitable than putting a sepia filter over a real life castle to claim as oc.
we need an AI nanny
Look at what they did to my boy, Matt. I used to watch VHSs of MASK when I was a kid and still remember the episode where Matt was returning the crystal he had used to create the whole MASK technology back to some Incan/Aztec like group that could juggle boulders when the moon was just right. There was a play on words involving the sun and the chieftain's son that led to the downfall of VENOM that episode.
I remember these toys with the holograms on their chest, back when hologram stickers were cool and new.
Pretty sure I had 2 of those toys and IIRC one of them was some grey/silver haired badguy from the evil faction in the cartoon. I think he had the power of some kind of arthropod as I vaguely remember a scene in the cartoon where he was stuck in a pitfall trap and needed to use his power to escape.
Keep in mind that one time he whined about a pic of a late 20s/early 30s woman being posted because he thought she was underage. He had zero ability to judge how a woman looks which isn't entirely surprising as it would require actually interacting with them.
Ruin is a bit of an exaggeration.
First off the update broke the pc version which annoyed people. A hotfix eventually happened but this is a years old game and while CDPR screwed up both the release for W3 and Cyberpunk 2077 those were at release. This was a release style fuck up like 7 years after the game came out.
Second there are various things added simply because they were in the Netflix show. The ballsack armour is one of them and calling it that is accurate as it was an intentional design choice by the showrunners to dress the Holy Roman Empire analogue in armour looking like a scrotum with a helmet looking like a dick because of the "patriarchy".
Third there are also various changes to existing content which ranges fixing long running issues regarding various quest rewards being utterly dogshit to adjusting gameplay balance that many normies are complaining about because they can't engorge themselves mid fight anymore to restore lost HP.
Yes it was the wingamingstore one. The DLC is now over 2 years old and I've bought the Megacorp and Federations DLCs from there too. None of the DLC are "needed" but some are strongly recommend by the player base and I have those ones already so I'm on no rush to get the others as they come out.
Plus brand new DLC are often buggy, broken messes.
Pretty sure the third game even uses the word cunt at one point and it's still done tastefully. Or at the very least the Blood and Wine DLC has a moment where one of the characters reads a 12 year old girl's diary about the time she called her nanny a "bleude keusse" which is Nilfgaardian for 'bloody cunt'.
I checked out of new and "new" games years ago that I only play Stellaris, City of Heroes, sometimes Left 4 Dead 2 for a random match, Witcher 3, and once a year the non EE version of the Baldur's Gate "trilogy".
None of those are new games. I haven't bought any new games in years. The last thing I bought was a Stellaris species pack DLC [Necroids] last night that was 82% discounted.
City of Heroes isn't even a properly run game atm, it's a number of different private servers all run by players and nine none of them are monthly subs anymore so I don't even have to pay for my gaming hobby that much any more.
Ediot: fixed a very unfortunate typo.
The Witcher sub has gone full red pill after season 2, Cavill walking, attempts to smear Cavill, and the repeated gaslighting from Lauren Fisstech. Even the Geralt and Jaskier bots get heavily downvoted now despite being a fun thing for a while.
