Is this technique even that effective anymore? From what I can discern from most of my corner of reality even your most tuned out person is well aware of this. I'm pretty sure it's starting to backfire, after all no one wants to see their favorite star all flabby and washed up. Movies are going through what the music industry did in the late 80's, early 90's and it didn't work then either.
Your preaching to the choir my friend, New York bragging about having the best slice of cheese pizza has always come off to me with the same energy as someone bragging they've got the fastest minivan on the block.
"If there's a three-word phrase that will forever be associated with Star Trek fans, it's not gonna be 'this is real.' It's 'Get a life!': dismissing your emotions simply because they don't come from that source, treating it as something to be embarrassed or ashamed of. That is something members of geek culture have been singled out for for a long, long time, that their emotions that stem from the works they love are laughable and are to be mocked for taking those feelings seriously about something that's not real. -sfdebris
Emotions aren't meant to be shared after all. They flip the script and then obviously it has ties to real life harm when it suits them. Sexy ladies leads to sexism, though true crime series never seem to have half the scrutiny that geeky franchises get.
After what chicago did to pizza we feel no shame for our part.
I was shocked that Vermont actually protects its maple syrup and you can't just put the label on any maple flavored corn syrup. Unlike here.
I mean we built the tallest free standing structure in the world for kicks but it's been death by a thousand cuts since at least diefenbaker.
"I'm sick of you people! Your nothing but a pack of fickle mush heads" "Hey, he's right!" "Give us hell, Justin!"
The same people who cheered on the Bronte sisters would have all kinds of problems with you stealing their tricks. More power to you, I hope you find some success in spite of your racial handicap.
I'd say start with thrawn as well, if you want to start in canonical time the book you want is 'Truce at Bakura'. Also check out the 'Jedi Academy Trilogy' for what I feel would've been an excellent sequel trilogy if you cut out a few of the elements that didn't work and my personal favorites. the tales from Mos Eisley/Jabbas Palace/Bounty hunters/Imperium and Rebbellion, a short story anthology series which give a good ground view of life in the star wars EU.
Sadly the only underrepresented group at disney anyone cares about is still marginalized - good writers.
"Own the libs" is pure projection of their own mindset.
How long before these people start treating these shows like a public confessional, confident that no one will believe their blatant admissions as long as tucker carlson or some other right winger name is next to it?
Then they turn around and blame the CPC for bringing american division politics to peaceful Canada like the white male bigots they are (self awareness at zero).
If we were gonna move anyones stair muffin, it'd be his.
His exaggerated take on himself as an ultra thrifty and slightly underhanded character actor on arrested development will always be my personal favorite. At least he went peacefully.
Theyll have to take a leaf from my country and start banning uncomfortable questions.
It reminds me of black panther, when their DEI propaganda doesn't completely shit the bed they overcompensate by throwing a ticket tape parade and blow it way out of proportion.
They're afraid it'll backfire on them like the Freedom Convoy if they try to vilify them.
Naturally they'll spin off the series to a Kencentric story focus on the male demographic to prove that barbie is for everyone..oh my mistake, that street has a one way sign.
They're publicly traded now so they run away from anything with the slightest whiff of controversy.
I'll never not laugh when they try to call their opponents snowflake since they tried and failed to Own it like the right did with pepe.
looks like #draftourdaughters is back on the menu boys
This House Party prequel looks depressing
rest assured if I ever saw my local law enforcement in this sort of a pickle I'd waste no time and rush to get popcorn with all haste.
It definitely has nothing to do with him calling anyone who goes against him a nazi or some equivalent. Nope, I guess if I don't let the hypocrite slander me with impunity I'm letting him win some sort of moral high ground.
