Liberalism doesn't need to be irrational, but lately the left is so afraid of criticism that they try to shut down anything that goes against the narriative. It didnt used to be this way, or at least not this bad.

These days, a critically thinking liberal will be declared right-wing by the left

we could call .win communities "wins". This one would be called 'a win for free speech'

if it was progress, every letter in the logo would be a different color, some rainbow colored, some would be on fire due to "peaceful arson". It would have G's that identify as K's and J's that identify as O's. Half the characters would be from non-Western alphabets to be inclusive

I can't switch to "new" posts on my phone unless I hold it in landscape mode

Riding a bike without a helmet would lose the Karen vote. Maybe if he still had a mask it would be ok though

I've been predicting that social media will fracture into national ot regional silos because complying with the laws in various countries are often at odds with each other

Because the politics now is about changing everything you love about your favorite franchises.

If they simply made a bunch of new franchises with woke characters/storyline. A lot fewer people would be up in arms about it.

But I was never a fan of inserting the popular politics of the day into storyline. Its lazy. I'd rather see people give an angle that wasn't being heard anywhere else

Yeah exactly, in games I played, if my character had an irrational hatred of gnomes, the DM would throw gratuitous gnomes into the game for everyone's amusement

If you truly don't believe in fascism or violence, then distance yourself from the bad actors. Form a different group.

Imagine trying to claim that you identify as a nazi, but dont believe in throwing Jewish people in the oven, because you are one of the good nazis. Nobody is going to buy that!. Same with Klan, etc. The names/garb are too tarnished.

Antifa/BLM are at that point, where they are just bad news in many people's minds

I've been saying this for years. I'm glad to see people with bigger megaphones starting to make the connection

Isn't that usually the case?

It's like if you go to Japan or China or India or any country really and discover that the majority ethnic population has the most opportunities.

But when the same thing is discovered in white western countries, in spite of generations of laws designed to fight it-- then it's a complete travesty that requires the entire civilization to be dismantled and replaced with something that will somehow manage to be more fair

Cancel culture has turned into a giant snowball rolling down a mountain. It can't be stopped until it hits the bottom

Probably should have been done when they started creating speech codes back in the 90s or whenever it was

Yeah too circumstantial so far.

I wouldn't wager a bet on the legitmacy

I agree. The more people we can bring to our side or the issue, the greater chance we have of winning.

It doesn't help us holding peoples past behavior against them. That makes us no better than the cancel culture we are fighting

Its too circumstantial at this point, but interesting

I'm aware of the already existing circular reasoning that any white person taking issue with the book is just displaying white fragility.

Is this so different than the kinds of tests they used to do to people to determine if they are witches? A lot of those tests were damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Look up Dr Karlyn on YouTube. She's been reading the book and pointing out what is wrong with it.

No matter how I slice it, I don't see how this doesn't hurt Biden more.

Thats if Kanye can even get on the ballot in most states at this point

Are they talking about people who actually get offended by everything, or people who pretend to be offended by everything for their own ends?

I'm sure both make terrible employees, but did different reasons

I've been waiting for one of the kia alternatives to actually become active to make the jump. Looks like this one finally did
