I like him but TBH I don't forgive him for abandoning his loyal fans during their time of need and vanishing for months while his dogwater platform "truth" was being made.

True, true, but I can think of a few reasons:
- the most played MMOs are all 10+ years old (WoW, GW2, FF14)
- all the new MMOs fail in 6 months to a year, the fans of the genre are getting desperate
- it was hyped before we knew it had gacha elements (they said no P2W and only cosmetics, like LoL)
