That's sad. In Seattle we had a few close down with promises to upgrade, and then nothing happened. I guess this is the other angle.

Honestly I needed a reminder on it. Very sad that it's come to this because an insane town in Minnesota forgot women can abuse men.

At least men's shelters exist. It's amazing how much they are getting discontinued or 'cha ged for the better' so fewer men can be taken care of.

Most not so specials are because the parents think it will look good on the university application. Heck, I had many a friend claim to be gay or something to be special while at the gifted program.

I don't think Apple is even aiming at the home. The company is promoting that, but I think it's to hide what is really happening.

The military wants AR helmets, and are willing to spend $5,000 a unit so long as it does the job. Microsoft just lost a big account with their own AR for military units.

The next part is a reality that doesn't get discussed by console fans. Arcades and out of home markets are doing way better with XR systems than the at home markets. A goggle like that would be the right price for an MR or AR experience. Imagine laser tag with AR and real mazes. The market has already decided.

So why promote for at home use? Because idiot upper middle class people buy Apple. They want to feel advanced, and that's what Apple promotes. So it's a perfect fit for an office guy who works at home, and wants to look cool.

So, apple shows off their tech for home use, but their major market is out of home and military.

Back in the day, psych students opened the DSM at parties and misdiagnose each other as a game. Flip to a random page and see who fit the bill.

I did that with some fellow high school students in the 90's and they all believed the diagnosis. It was my sign to transfer out of the school fast.

The reason why it's so ridiculous is that we never study giftedness. If we have 1 in 2000 autists, then we likely have 1:2000 gifted. We don't have a DSM of gifts, and most psych text books are lucky to have 2 paragraphs on the subject. So, when I mention I can remember stuff really well, and do math in my head, I am obviously autistic. Since I'm reading their body language to see they only have a small understanding of the subject and change the subject, I must be ADHD as well. There is no giftedness, only drool.

I don't know why he didn't get permission, but his books are fun.

Heck, Zahn has been commissioned to make more books.

Also check out the Clone Series by Steven Kent. He wrote it right after not getting permission to use the star wars universe.

When you have a world view, and someone says it's wrong, it takes a lot to even understand the concept.

It's gritty because the biggest buyers of Hot Wheels is adult men who are crazy. The toy collectors have their own stereotypes and the Hot Wheels guys are the gritty annoying ones.

Why are they doing this to Newberg? It feels like Portland has died, so now they're going after the small towns. Is Roseberg in just as much danger? Will anyone even know if the very quiet people of Roseberg are protesting?
