there's no mechanism to partition and join another state. There is only mechanism for partitioning to make a new state.

People who want to partition to join another state are trying to do something legally impossible. You have to make a new state with the ones who vote to leave.

No, it doesn't have anything to do with that.

Please read the essay to understand how it actually came about, it is well cited.

That is not true and it's not helpful to think that way if you want to solve the actual problem. Please read the essay to actually understand the subject. It is well cited in how this came to be.

Home schooling is not effective in dual income or single parent households, and even in traditional family structures if the parents are not well educated and able to help educate the kids.

Part of the reason the country is so screwed up is because people are under-educated. A democracy cant work if the citizens are under-educated

His talk on retirement gave me some thoughts. This guy and a huge amount of people get caught up on the post-war and boomer concept of retirement. Retirement wasn't a thing anywhere close to the same way for most of the history of the world. You worked until you couldn't anymore, then you died.

Are you suggesting that your ideal is we return to that kind of world where when a person could not work anymore, they just died?

Aside from the rape of his mom, how is any of this much different than what hundreds of thousands, maybe even at least a million, of the craziest Tik Tokers are doing these days?

If Chris chan's level of craziness is a 10, most of the people on Tik Tok these days are at least a 7 or 8.

If you want to get back at Kevin Smith, unsubscribe from Netflix and tell them the reason is because of your disgust for He-Man.

Something not being discussed -- probably because many don't know -- is that many of these streaming deals have performance clauses similar to theatricals where the producers get bonuses for certain performance metrics like viewership or adding new subscriptions around the time the show launches. This would give Kevin Smith incentive for his lying and continual lying, hoping to convince people on the fence to go watch the show.

Part 2 hasn't been released yet, and may not even be in production. It's entirely possible Part 2 funding is based on performance of Part 1. It's possible some other deals he wants with Netflix is contingent on performance of this Part 1 He-Man show.

If you want to get back at these people, the only way to do so is to unsubscribe from Netflix.

The only entity which can restrain the activities of corporations is the government. You can be opposed to it for ideological reasons but at some point you must accept reality. The government is at least subject to public approval in the form of voting for elected officials who serve as representatives to pass the laws.

Corporations by contrast only serve the interest of private individuals.
