The "idea" is that the carpet should match the drapes.

So you "feel like" you're a boy on the inside, but were "wrongly" born with a girl body? This makes you sad. You think you have a penis but there's a vagina. You have boobs but think you shouldn't & etc.
So to be happy you have to take piles of harsh chemicals & painful surgeries.

THEN you're a "happy real boy" even if your DNA says otherwise.

Now even before the "full operation" to chop & fix? You're still a "real boy" but only on the inside, therefor others should all kowtow to your insides or you'll be sad.

Speaking of which, did you see Madonna at the WC? She's had SO MANY surgeries on that face it's unimaginable. She passed Michael Jackson ages ago. She's 'The Argo' now: every part of that boat has been replaced, is she really herself or not? 🤔

Pakistan will not "nuke Israel" for the sake of Iran. If they did India would seize territory in a blink & have their nukes to back it up. MAD rules! First one to drop a nuke is "open season" for nuclear counter-strikes.

There aren't "bombardments" near Finland or the Balearic Islands :p But it makes the map look pretty!

Kharg Island is flat like a pancake & bare. 7.7 mile^2. Okinawa is 460 total, covered with dense jungle and steep hills & cliffs.

Alex is so smart sometimes, and a complete buffoon at others. "10,000 foot mountains"? WTF is he snorting? Is he trying to talk about Qeshm Island? A few hills & rugged terrain there but nothing remotely like 10K feet.

If one didn't know or care about the drama behind it? It's likely a fairly good adventure story. Some folks will just remember the few good scenes and forget the dreck.

for their 1/3 of the political war and 0/10 for the enemy 2/3

Fify! Otherwise spot-on! And lately I think it's closer to 1/4 but that's by design. They want fanatical followers who will obey without question.

Context: A Spanish player flew through the air screaming after the breeze of this player touched him. The Ref (ref cam!) was looking right at him and still called a foul. It was a "weapons grade" flop & the Ref saw it... and didn't care.

Both sides flopped like crazy, with Argentina leading the parade. Messi got touched late in the game and lay like a corpse until the whistle went.

On another play, a Spanish player went "cartwheeling" through the air after hard contact. That wasn't fake & if it was? He should be on the gymnastics team! Looked for reals. The Argentine got a 2x Yellow = Red & sent off.

I think there were no people at all in the Falklands before the British discovered it & Colonized it. That would make them the "indigenous people" eh?

Two others, Spain and (I forget) also set up colonies later, but didn't oust the Brits or claim the whole thing. Eventually there were conflicts and GB did claim the whole thing.

And yes, even shortly before the Argentinian invasion they had held a vote on it & a vast majority said to stay British.

It only makes sense that there were humans here before the last Ice Age. Even if they came during the Ice Age from Europe they'd have been here long before the alleged Land Bridge people(s).
Not many of them, and they rarely made anything from stone, but there's plenty of evidence.

All you're doing is spreading the energy used over a (much) longer time. That said, the energy needed to lift & lower it is avoided :/ but that' separate. You still use the same energy to MOVE it. In the case of the Hippo, there's 120 pounds of added weight too.

If you go to extremes of course it seems 'off'. But put a single gallon of water in the Hippo and tell me it's easier to roll 130 pounds than carry 12 pounds (10 + 2 pound container) ok?

Or tell me how the laws of physics changed?

The wheel does take advantage of friction to save energy. In space you need to spend as much energy to slow/stop something as to accelerate it. But friction & stuff does that for you on Earth, so there's savings there. You can use momentum to "roll along" at a savings, but eventually must replace the energy lost to friction to keep rolling.

Oh? Did they overturn the laws of physics while I was in the shower? To move Mass A from Point X to Point Y takes energy, period. You can spread it out (like levers or pullies) or do it all at once (lift & carry) but the total energy required is the same. Unless it's downhill all the way? 😊 But it still took energy to get it up the hill, even if that was sunlight & rainfall (for water).

"Unfortunately their jail time will be "In & Out" also." - winning comment.

It's still the same physical energy to move it, just using different parts of your body's muscles. So technically it isn't "easier" although you can take quick breaks.

Plus the extra weight of the contraption needs energy to move too...

I think that would be required. Just stepping into the current Swamp would take more than 10 years just to drain it. Well, 5 anyhow, half your time wasted!

Also other countries can't kill you, or invade or drop nukes. They can block trade & stuff though, I'd guess, to keep things interesting.

I'm thinking there'd be a 1 year gap where people can form political parties & stuff, then have a general election :/ So making a (not literal) clone of yourself wouldn't work.

Now in my case, there aren't going to be many idiots left, so the Public can be trusted for a generation or two.

In a blink, I'm 62 and in poor health anyhow!
And I have many plans already...

The largest University in my Province had an Arts building (for the artist types) that had extensive tilework in the hallways featuring swastikas. It was built in 1904, long before the Nazis even existed.
Every year like clockwork someone would write to the student newspaper demanding they be removed. Outrage!!!

They did extensively renovate the building eventually, no doubt the offending tiles were removed then.

"The Black Wall Of Debt" has been known for a long time. Eventually the system WILL COLLAPSE because it's a Ponzi Scheme. You will run out of "new money" and the empty accounts are exposed.

Constant growth isn't sustainable either. Recession and de-flation need to happen now and then. Oh it hurts, but the other option is complete collapse.

Printing 40T and paying off the debt is one idea, but I think this guy just wants to print 40T and spend it :/ Saving 1T per year would almost balance the budget? Healthy cuts across the board would too.
But then there's debt on the State and Municipal level too...
I only made it 3 minutes in :p

Looks like a "C grade" contest :/
The girl on the far left (32 seconds) is actually rather pretty. The one on the far right (38 seconds) looks like a man, but it's blurry.

Of course the left has been chanting "Feel! Don't think!" but I think (feel too) that thinking about one's spirituality is a very good idea.
Science keeps saying meditation is good for us, like prayers for example. The left wants to exclude those & focus on hippy-dippy stuff, of course.

Being a Deist, I get to believe in God (the All Creator) and just consider things like Bibles and Holy Persons as options. Advice. Literalists are generally a sad lot, I find. Or rabid zealots like 90% of Muslims...

In Biblical times it would generally be closer to 30 for the men and 15-18 for the women to get married off. The pretty ones going the youngest for sure though. If your family was rich an 18 year-old boy could have "the pick of the litter" eh?

This is in the bible too: "If you have an orphaned daughter among you? It is better for her to marry an older man than to become a harlot."
This could mean a girl as young as 14 (maybe less) and a man past 40 :/ possibly a widower.

Remember that horrible Tsunami that hit Japan a while back?
We waited for it and LO! it arrived: a "climate expert" said it was caused by AGW (human-caused global warming). See: the warmer water is heavier (it isn't) and that set off the tectonic plates. This got published without dissent.

Bonus: A Muslim Imam, in Turkey iirc? Syria? Said that the earthquakes that hit there were caused by... women in bikinis in Western Nations.

Both were a while back but it shows how little has changed.
