More likely he was speaking whatever passwords he could muster in a panicked attempt to save his own life. After all, he had just watched his attacker escape by using that very same password. His error, in that moment, was thinking that whitey can use passwords. But they aren't for us.

there are far too many westerners who think even being defamed as racist is literally the worst thing that could ever happen to you.

This is the origin of the n-word defense. Conditioned whites will excuse literal murder if a black killer claims that the white victim said the n-word. This can only happen if whites have been programmed to believe that racism is worse than murder. And these same people believe that only whites can be racist and, in fact, all whites are racist.
In a way, it is. "Racist" is a magic word now. A magic word that means "kill this fucker, he deserves it." If you're called a racist, it means there's now a target on your head, no one's going to come to your defense when you're attacked, and most everyone will spit on your corpse once the deed is done.
We saw that with Austin Metcalf. Half the country firmly believes he deserved to get stabbed in the heart purely because he was OBVIOUSLY wacist to the poor innocent future doctor who just wanted to get out of the wain. And that his brother should also be killed, alongside the whole family. Same for Charlie Kirk. Murdered in bright daylight in front of his own daughter...and half the country will tell you to your face he had it coming. And I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Rittenhouse gets killed as well; he may have beat the courts, but the left will never forgive him for his transgression of continuing to exist as the WACIST he is, and many are itching to correct that error.
Little surprise people are afraid of getting the racist label. It's excommunication for the modern age.

The more time goes on, the more I see racism as a absolute necessity to ensure my survival.
The fear that boomers have always had about being labelled racist set the entire western world on a path toward destruction. If they just owned the label every time they wanted to do something that served the White interests of their countrymen, we’d be living in a completely different world right now.
If you want to be able to defend yourself without weapons, I recommend these martial arts:
Krav Maga
Boxing
Judo
Krav Maga will teach you how to recognize weapons, and how to fight dirty. Boxing will teach you head movement, footwork, how to throw punches, and how to dodge hands. Finally, Judo gives you the ability to deal with people that grab you. They grab you, you can toss, or trip them, and most people will be done after hitting the floor. But more importantly, if you go to the floor, you'll know how to survive there.
There are other arts you can study, but for the streets, I think these three arts are a must. Study them for a few years, and you'll be better at fighting than most. Of course, avoid fights if you can. Use your brain. Not every fight is winnable.
