There's a few games where I've played at the body type/size played into actual mechanics and I liked that. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the game because it failed badly, but there was this one shooter in the x360 era that had 3 body sizes and the small ones could parkour and wall run with smgs and pistols, the mediums were a jack of all trades with loads of weapons, and the big body had heavy weapons and a ton of health. It was a really cool concept bogged down by a terrible story and mid gameplay
Is there even any reason to play newly released games? There was enough shit made before 2015 to last me the rest of my life (but maybe that's just me)

Same, I've passed any remake that had body type instead of sex/gender.
Last game I got tricked in to playing was BG3. In the demo it had sex/gender and then they switched to body type on release.

Plenty of problems with that game. The worst was the story being incredibly bad while it was getting praised for the story

San Andreas let you change your body size and it offered different buffs/debuffs.
That was BRINK.
I played it quite a bit, and thought it was fun. Shame it didn't do well. Also, had some technical issues, and the port was functional but imperfect.

I was with you till the gacha part. Sorry, but gacha is also retarded. If anything it is worse because it is predatory and manipulative.
The one exception to this policy is Palworld and you can tell they don't mean it the same way most other games do.
I just don't play games anymore. I'd really love to, but 99% of the time it's just a waste of money and time.
