It's more that they felt the need to do this useless kowtowing than anything else.
Entirely unnecessary in a fictional word where anyone can be anything. Yet some still have to choose to be a special snowflake, and force others to see it and participate in order to play a video game. It's the least interesting thing about someone, and some games just make you see it and have to deal with it.
That's why I pass on those games.
These are the types that I think might walk past a funeral home, then feel the need to suddenly run inside, find a funeral or a wake, burst through the door only to shout "I too have felt loss!" to the grieving family, as if they're the main fucking character of the world.
