If you expect engagement from YT now you are about 10 years too late. Channels don't organically grow anymore, the algorithm doesn't let that happen. I've got 4 subs, 5 videos posted, and all of them are just me playing Mechwarrior 5: Mercs.
Theres more to it than that, but its been known that they have some weird censorship systems over there. Some comments are just insta hidden if you say negative stuff or the wrong word.
I know nobody wants to watch a video about some dudes work injury, but I watched it myself, my partner watched it, couple other family members said they watched it. I remember one of them saying I sounded "angry". Lmao, yeah angry, betrayed, shocked, im sure a few other emotions Im forgetting as well.
But 3/4 of the videos show 0 views, really strange.
Yeah, Razorfist has talked about how whenever he has a video that does well and sort of breaks past that algorithmic suppression, he'll get tons of comments saying they got automatically unsubscribed.
Basically, when new people discover him and subscribe, Youtube's system goes "can't have the likes of him having a growth" so they counterbalance the new subs by unsubscribing current subscribers.
That way his channel basically always stays at that same general size.
I haven't really watched him too much in nearly a year so I don't know if that's still the case with him.
I didn't stop watching because I dislike Razorfist or anything, it's just his personality can be a bit too much and when I listen to too much of him, I gotta take a break haha.
he'll get tons of comments saying they got automatically unsubscribed.
There was a channel I had been thinking about recently -- I left a comment on it a couple of months ago. I managed to make my way back to that channel and the video, and I saw that I was both unsubscribed from the channel and the video like was removed, but my comment was still there and hearted by the channel owner.
It was the first time I saw that YouTube removed a like from a video, even though they have been unsubscribing people often. They appear to be getting more aggressive with their suppression tactics.
Every content creator past their peak complains about being targeted.

There's the real answer. That plus his fall of grace after he groomed a girl and had her move in with him as soon as she was 18, the way he treated her in the leaked audios, and the defense simping for Melonie Mac's hypocrisy.
Now, I know nothing about you or your channel, but from the title it appears that you're uploading the audio of a copyrighted song?
He responded with audio of his own showing he never slept with her, and she had an actual Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It took him a lot of work to get out of her tendrils, and she's using this as a way to bring him back in.
Every content creator past their peak complains about being targeted.
I mean yes, doesn't mean it isn't also true a lot of the time. That YouTube forcibly unsubscribes people and de-lists channels is all but a fact verified under oath at this point.
Sure, everyone loves a winner, but you shouldn't have to be big enough to steamroll it to have a right to complain about an abuse of power.
That's why these guys who already have a solid audience size need to shill for alternatives like Rumble. I have my share of gripes with Rumble but anything is better than YouTube. At the very least, people need to build up awareness of the life boat in case they ever need to rely on it to survive. You never know when that time will come.
Youtube is pay-to-play and you also need to game the algorithm. There is a science to gaming Youtube.
I'm pretty sure that PewDiePie and a host of other early 'Youtube stars' got their success because Youtube pushed them artificially, because it needed stars to promote the service. But currently, it has too many stars, so you're going to need to open your wallet and use cross-platform social media to advertise your stuff.
Yup, Pewdiepie's rise was extremely inorganic. Up to that point, the biggest gaming YouTuber was UberHaxorNova and you could get 10,000 views a video by playing anything you wanted, however you wanted. Post-Pewdiepie, no-one gave a shit about smaller gaming channels.
I especially miss Stan Burdman. Wonder how he's doing these days.
I've been mostly livestreaming recently, and not uploading prerecorded content, but yeah, I don't think I've ever seen that. I'm a nobody, extremely inconsistent, have 30 followers...and all my vids still get a couple views/clickthroughs/impressions.
I don't have an exact comparison since live vs upload isn't going to be 1:1, but there's generally going to be a little movement, even with zero promotion.
15 impressions + zero views is NUTS. I get more than that, with less followers, probably less consistency and definitely less effort (I've seen some of your content when you've linked it before, you put in a lot of work!), and zero promotion. Literally just uploading a video SHOULD get you more than that, no matter how small you are. That does seem sus.
EDIT: Wait, OP, isn't that video not even released yet, though? Do you usually see more movement before premiere?
As to what you're seeing just now, I reuploaded the video, set the original to unlisted and trying again.
I realized when I uploaded the first time, I had a VPN on, so perhaps it could be Youtube flagged it as bot activity or something.
Reuploaded without VPN, also setting as premiere to see if it still has zero views after it goes live tomorrow.
EDIT: Not sure if I should do the premiere thing. I've heard it can hurt your numbers unless you have a huge amount of subscribers. I'll just have it upload tomorrow instead of premiere and see if it does the same having now uploaded without VPN

Ah, thought it might be something like that.
I had a VPN on, so perhaps it could be Youtube flagged it as bot activity or something.
Thanks, I hate it.

Can't help you there...I'm retarded.
I'll queue up to be at least one warm body in chat, though, and drop a comment to be an ENGAGED CHATTER™ (Fuck you, YouTube) tomorrow, too. Best of luck.
And keep being based, don't let The Man keep you down! REEEEE.
Yeah, I know it's foolish to use my main account to speak my political views, but there's something in me that refuses to cower behind a dummy account so that "daddy google" stays happy with me.
I'm pretty much like, no, people need to speak their mind and speak freely regardless of the consequences. If I'm not willing to do it when I have no money or anything really at stake, then I wouldn't be willing to do it when there are serious things at stake.
Yeah, I know it's foolish to use my main account to speak my political views...no, people need to speak their mind and speak freely regardless of the consequences.
Resplect.
This is what the internet is about. People SHOULD be able to speak their mind, they shouldn't have to hem and haw, or use alt-accounts, just to min-max engagement due to interference from retarded globalists.
I'll fucking speak my mind, damn straight. People can take it or leave it. I am human, therefore I shall yap.
Even when I had like two subscribers, I never got zero views. Those 15 impressions are all from me.
Ever since I got to around 140 subscribers, even my absolute worst performing videos would get about 7 or 8 views.
Never did I have zero impressions or anything like that.
Two days ago I commented on the UK youtube channel "The Independent" telling a feminist off on that video about the "undercover jogging police ladies", and then lo and behold, my comment is gone (and likely reported) and when I upload my next video, it's as if it might as well not even exist.
Now I've had suppressions in terms of reach in the past because I speak freely and don't cowtow to political correctness. But not ever like this/to this degree.
The only difference between then and now is the big AI overhaul thing that Youtube is doing (where people are changing their profile pictures to clippy).
My last upload before this was about a month ago, so before the big AI big brother monitoring they're doing now.
Even when I had like two subscribers, I never got zero views. Those 15 impressions are all from me.
I checked your channel, it's not even live yet. I don't think you can get views? Could be wrong. This isn't an attack, for the record. As I said in my other comment, this does look weird. Just looking for clarification.
NINJA EDIT" Ah, I see you reuploaded, so that's a different vid. Thought it might be something like that. Carry on. o7

Yeah, I fear I'm too based for YouTube as well. I'll go and check on some of my comments; they often get zero responses, and if I open in Incognito they're just NOT FUCKING THERE.
Shadowbanning is a plague. [PLATFORM], if you don't like what I posted (usually pretty tame but not approved normie/PC narrative), FUCKING TELL ME. I hate that shit; realizing something you posted shows as posted to you, but can ONLY be seen by you, and only if you're logged in...fuck off, man. I hate it. Ban me, or let my comments be seen. One or the other.
Also, I've been getting a bit more political (usually just do gameplay, if I stream at all), so wouldn't be surprised if I get auto-throttled too. Thanks, I hate it.
The only difference between then and now is the big AI overhaul thing that Youtube is doing (where people are changing their profile pictures to clippy).
Honestly, shit is getting really scary. Not even sure what we can do to fight it either, since so much of it can be pulled off behind the scenes without us even knowing. But it feels like the internet as we know it is slipping away from us. Internet ID, increasing government interventionism, increasing corporate nonsense, AI nonsense.
Oh and to what you're saying here (sorry I don't know how to do the quote thing)

It's all lining up with the Revelation, the Mark of the Beast. Those who get it can participate in society, can buy and sell, and those who do not, cannot and are persecuted. I don't know if you're a Christian or not, but I'd encourage you to read Revelation.
One world religion and rule under the anti-Christ - what do we see today? Push for globalism
If you don't comply to have the mark worshiping the anti-Christ, can't buy or sell. What do we see today? cashless society, do something wrong, get debanked.
There will be the "image of the beast" where if someone does not bow before it, they will be killed.
AI can analyze people's pupils, and detect emotions. You could easily see even with todays technology, billboards that have cameras with AI detecting disdain or loyalty by analyzing the faces and having some sort of weapon.
It's all lining up for the end times. It's like all the dominoes are in place and it's just a matter of time.
That's why I'd encourage you to at least read Revelation, because Jesus says what to do, and where you can take heart, beccause if you follow the Lamb, even to the point of being killed, we are overcomers and the world system and the evil one is defeated.
Oh and to what you're saying here (sorry I don't know how to do the quote thing)
It's just the "greater than" (>) indent. i.e. "> QUOTE"

I'm Christian-curious. I believe in God, but haven't done the work to consider myself Christian yet, for what that's worth.
I think the whole Mark of the Beast things seems to be more of a continuous push, than a single element. It seems we've been seeing more and more Marks of the Beast, as society has consolidated and globalized control. Maybe there will be one specific Mark of the Beast, or maybe humanity has been living through it for centuries or longer but, yes, it's worrisome, and yes, the evildoers are absolutely pushing that shit, no matter what your belief system is.
One interesting thing I heard, I forget from who, but maybe someone on Tucker, is a vulnerability on the whole Dispensationalist view that I hadn't considered before. If you believe in the Rapture, you believe you won't be here when the serious shit goes down; you believe you won't be tested. That sets you up for failure, if it actually doesn't go down like that. That belief system thinks they're immune to temptation, since they think they'll already be in Heaven. Meaning they are more likely to sign up for the Mark of the Beast...because they're still here.
One world religion and rule under the anti-Christ - what do we see today? Push for globalism...If you don't comply to have the mark worshiping the anti-Christ, can't buy or sell. What do we see today? cashless society, do something wrong, get debanked.
Getting more and more real, yeah.
It's all lining up for the end times. It's like all the dominoes are in place and it's just a matter of time.
Similar to my above comments, I think the "End Times" are more of a spectrum. To some extent we're already there.
That's why I'd encourage you to at least read Revelation...
It's definitely on my list to get more theologically educated, for sure. I should just do it.
Yeah, the video that hasn't gone live is a reupload, basically me trying again to see if it does it again. I uploaded that first one without realizing I had a VPN on the first time, so that could be the explanation. Like you say, you can't figure out anything with Youtube. They should tell you. Doesn't mean I'll obey the rules, but it would be nice to KNOW them.
But yeah those view counts from the screenshot was from a video that was not premiered, but uploaded normally 11 hours ago. So the zero views or impressions is definitely not right.
If you expect engagement from YT now you are about 10 years too late. Channels don't organically grow anymore, the algorithm doesn't let that happen. I've got 4 subs, 5 videos posted, and all of them are just me playing Mechwarrior 5: Mercs.

Got 80k plus subscribers. Pretty sure im blacklisted and shadowbanned.

I don't trust complaints about unfair algorithms. Most of the time it's people who are losing popularity out of their own decisions.
Yep. Was stuck at 80k for like many years. That happened with people being auto unsubbed or they dont see my new vids being alerted or shown to them.
That's why these guys who already have a solid audience size need to shill for alternatives like Rumble. I have my share of gripes with Rumble but anything is better than YouTube.
