Yeah that's dumb, first rule, if you're going to gossip, ONLY do it anonymously or with close friends, never to random strangers with your identity out!
They'll contact it out to a third-party "verifier" so they can avoid any direct liability. But when one of those third parties springs a leak and it hits several sites at once? Oh, it's going to be exciting.
First thing that jumps out to me is the phrasing, "women they claimed to have dated," I don't recall seeing similar phrasing when it came to the other site.
But, yeah, regardless, I agree it's retarded to voluntarily give an ID. And the includes (perhaps especially) hostile governments.
California leaking concealed carry information is an absolute stain on the entire concept. Which, as a bit of a libertarian, I completely appreciate. You can't trust anyone, copro or government, with that sort of information. Assume it will all get leaked, if they hate you, or are incompetent.

Well yea, men are much more open about the potential for dishonesty.
I'll be curious to find out what they did wrong - whether they made the same mistakes, or dodged Tea's and found their slightly better way was also compromised.
Very obviously. It's too poetic. In fact it's so obvious I'm wondering if the leak is even real, or if it's a bunch of fake accounts so feminists can say "see? men do it too!". You'd have to be clinically retarded to fall for this.
It sounds like these were actual vulnerabilities (details not yet disclosed) as opposed to a publicly exposed DB. But also...
an email address and plaintext password belonging to the app’s creator, Lampkin, was left exposed on the server. The credentials appear to grant access to the app’s “admin” panel.
If their excuse was "they stole the admin password" then I'm with evilplushie, this may have been a honeypot that always intended to leak the users private info.
Because that is way too convenient for people who wanted to even the score after the first tea leak.
The best part are the retards who signed up for it with a drivers license for verification after seeing what happened to tea. Like wtf dudes
some dudes are just as retarded as women
never dox yourself.
You must dox yourself to login.
-The UK, probably
Natural selection.

I saw apparentlyimaheretic making out with someone on this board, and you’ll never guess who it was!
Excellent. The more that "this website/app requires ID" can be made radioactive to the public, the better. Before more countries follow the UK model.
Just wait until one of the porn sites has a breach.
I actually expect them to be more security minded than most.

For themselves, maybe.

In other news, the stove is still hot.

or if it was just a honeytrap
That's also a possibility.

Yeah, almost definitely a honeypot. I never heard of it before it appeared in gay libtard clapback headlines.
It sounds like these were actual vulnerabilities (details not yet disclosed) as opposed to a publicly exposed DB. But also...
Arguably worse than a simple data leak.

Did they "hack" it in the same way by just accessing the full directory via the URL or was it different?
When can we get a side by side face comparison of the users?
Is everyone retarded? Of course this was a bad idea.
