What is this now? The 20th time it's been shown gamers are the more persistent, relentless bastards that will torment you constantly if you disrupt them and their games?

After over a decade at least, do we STILL need to teach this lesson?

A person who has never faced explicit accountability cannot understand accountability. At the turn of the 20th century, it was a routine thing in criminal reporting to explicitly comment on the fact that this robber/rapist/murderer had been coddled as a child, and to not coddle your kids, you dumbasses.

Fast forward to know, and you have third generation pampered kids running amok. Champagne socialists talking about MuH rApIsTs for getting a little pushback, dipshits talking about how American Eagle is now totes a NAHTSEE company, all of the drama from Ethan Klein suing people.

All of this to say that the next few decades are going to involve a lot of morons having to touch hot stoves, in one way or another.

Another example would be the woman who is suing the “whatever” podcast, claiming her treatment on it (i.e. having her feminist views questioned) was tantamount to rape.

Motherfucker, you're looking at the final boss that has 8 forms. Your senators suck these people off to keep them happy.

You're frustrating their minions, and this is Visa, when your bigger problem is Mastercard who owns Strype.

Run. On. The. Processors. Cancel your Credit Cards. Cancel your Debit Cards. Even if they are the ones that come with your bank. If it says Visa or MasterCard, you've got the wrong piece of plastic.

Fucking Right-Wing Influencers and content creators are still using Strype for payment. This is how bad this is. Making some faggot call center employee whine means nothing to these people. These people would cause an international famine to protect their bottom line.

While I can appreciate the sentiment of abandoning digital transactions and moving solely to cash to pay for everything in your life, the reality on the ground is that it isn't a realistic approach any longer. I say this as the guy in my circle of friends who built up a reputation of paying for everything with cash and refusing to allow people to repay me in anything other than cash.

I didn't say abandoning digital transactions. Just paying for things that aren't MasterCard and Visa. And it's the only real approach at the moment that we could actually have an effect on them.

They couldnt leave gamers alone.. gamers that really dont bother anyone and usually are in their own ecosystem and lala land.

Do they really wanna pick a fight with the global autists that are pissed off they got their schoolgirl hanky panky game or isekai harem game taken away??

The big 4 also had plans to fuck with gun purchases.

The trump administration should just raid them all for seditious conspiracy and nationalize the infrastructure into an open interbank network controlled by the government, decentralizing it as the banks and other card providers would be effectively running their own cards.

Trump nationalizing specifically only financial institutions would be fucking hilarious. You’d have “both sides” screaming “wait, not like that!” while 90% of America cheers.

To be clear, I imagine it would not go well.

I’ve definitely seen a list of countries that tried that, only to be invaded and overthrown. I say we do it!

We're usually the ones doing that invasion, no?

What could go wrong?

I felt a massive kvetching, as if a million bankers cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

another idea, as an alternative to straight up nationalization, would be to simply grant payment processors complete immunity while classifying the refusal to process a payment as an unlawful business practice.

if necessary, also require them to make financial records available to law enforcement with a warrant (I'm pretty sure this is already in place) so that illegal goods and services can still be found in prosecuted.

This way they have no excuse to refuse service beyond, and any attempts to do so reveal them as the meddling scumbags they are.

I've been saying this for a while, it's the perfect middle ground. They get freedom from liability and we get freedom to purchase and sell whatever legal goods and services we want with OUR OWN money.

Had plans? They've been operationalized since 2016 and going after gun stores and gun manufacturers.

This is just their next big step.

Just like Alex Jones lawfare was the trial balloon to what we see today

And let me guess. People who play violent video games are also murderers?

Of course that's the next step. For whatever reason, violent games have had a target on their back ever since the days of Doom and OG Mortal Kombat. And now that Gaben has cucked to the international bankers on one type of game...
