While I can appreciate the sentiment of abandoning digital transactions and moving solely to cash to pay for everything in your life, the reality on the ground is that it isn't a realistic approach any longer. I say this as the guy in my circle of friends who built up a reputation of paying for everything with cash and refusing to allow people to repay me in anything other than cash.
I didn't say abandoning digital transactions. Just paying for things that aren't MasterCard and Visa. And it's the only real approach at the moment that we could actually have an effect on them.
