Five years after George Floyd's death, we should remember how many Republicans reacted.Greg Abbott claimed it was the worst tragedy he had ever seen. This is a man who governed during multiple natural disasters.
Abbott also wants Texas to have the strongest antisemitism laws in the country. I wonder if those two things are related???
And im supposed to think conservatives and their values on our side? Since when?
There are a massive number of conservatives who absolutely share my values and can be easily trusted to support them strongly. Giving someone a label doesn't impart an identity upon them, it's merely an attempt to describe them in short hand, but bad actors love to pretend otherwise when it can convince you to agree with their goals.
why are conservatives pushing for antisemitism speech laws?
The political right is made up of a lot more Christians than the left. So, the people in power use this to control the right, through heretical teachings like dispensationalism and "judeo-Christianity". Those ideas only took root in the 20th century after people like Darby and Scofield were paid and propped up by people like the Rothschilds to corrupt the church.
Dispensationalism is the heretical belief that God retains His blessings and promises to jews after Jesus was crucified, died, and ressurected, that Jesus has two brides (jews and the church), that jews are saved purely by being jews. None of those assertions are true, and a reading of scripture proves them false very easily. Jesus has one bride, the Christian church, and "Israel" is the Christian church, not jews or a jewish nation. Jews have never been saved merely by being jews, even in OT times, because Gods blessings have never been unconditional. And, judaizing was the very first Christian heresy, which was roundly rebuked by the early church fathers, like Paul.
The people in power like to use false dichotomies to control the left and right. They pit each side against the other with carefully curated ideas and policies, which won't actually help the side arguing for it or solve anything, but will help the people in power. This enables a very active Overton window between the controlled left and controlled right. But, the true solutions and ideas fall outside their domains. For example, the controlled/false right is controlled by ideas like egalitarianism, a lesser form of feminism, individualism, race blindness, workaholic attitudes, dispensationalism, judeo-Christianity, and a love of jews no matter what they do or have done.
Thus, the false right is pushing fofor antisemitism laws, because antisemitism is a new "sin" they've invented to align with their heretical form of Christianity. They prop up jews more than any other demographic, because they're seen as the ultimate victims, due to WW2 and the Holocaust, which are crucial pieces of propaganda for these false narratives.
Because they're bootlicking pussies
How exactly is making anti semitism illegal a had thing? Or are you one of those anti Semites that thinks he can just say whatever he wants..
Free speech. I can say whatever the fuck I want about whoever I want, as long as it's not a direct call to violence. There is no justification whatsoever why Jews alone should get a special privilege that prevents any criticism of their actions.
I'm not an anti semite, I find the increase in anti semitism on this site since 2020 to be unfortunate.
But government censorship is always, always, always a bad thing.
Same boat. I support Israel and Jews because of the Biblical covenant that hasn't been nullified as explained in Romans 11.
I don't agree with "hate speech" laws while also really hating the antisemitism.
Just because a new state calls itself 'Israel' does not mean it is that, any more than the democratic people's republic of Korea is democratic.
Speaking of Romans 11. Yeah I fully support the ones who remained a part of the true church, like Paul and the Apostles, absolutely. As for the modern belief which you could call 'Babylonian talmudic Judaism', assuming that it can still be claimed to the the same faith and people as old descended from the pharisees (I would argue it absolutely cannot, and that there aren't many left but for some very small factions potentially), as for them I would absolutely support them accepting Jesus and being grafted back onto the tree. Otherwise, if we can't say that it's the same faith, then I would support them accepting Jesus and being grafted onto the tree for the first time.
Either way, I'm not seeing how supporting modern day jews necessitates supporting Israel. I'd argue given that countries actions like in trying to draw England into wars with false flag bombings and its influence over our governments, that our current governments' support of them actually hurts jews and fuels anti-jewish sentiment (antisemitism? If I think the destruction of Carthage was justified, does that make me an antisemite? It's such a stupid word)
Israel is the church, not a bunch Christ-denying sodomites in the desert.
"Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also." 1 John 2:22-23
Jews belong in the oven
Yeah, anyone who disrespects Pedo Mo (piss be upon him) deserves to be punished.
Sorry, wrong semitic people.
There were literal police executions recorded on video way worse than Floyd.
Like the Waco massacre. Or Ruby Ridge.
There were unwarranted police killing in the minneapolis area right before this by DEI hires.
And actually killed people, unlike chauvin, who simply restrained a guy who had been striggling with police while trying to hide his drugs in his mouth and OD'ing from it.
A somali police ifficer pulled up in front of a white womans house and shot her to death for no reason in minneapolis. A white woman shot a black guy who had earrants but was just trying to flee when she mixed up her taser and her gun.
Chauvin was white and male, so they jumped on the chance to pretend he killed someone because he was the right race and gender for their madeup story.
In a way perhaps but I'd be giving him too much credit to explain how
Texas has caught the California virus. Lock it down and build a wall.
More like East California.
how safe must one's life be to call nigger overdosing on fent "the worst tragedy" they've ever seen, i wonder
My boomercon parents cried about him like a new saint.
We really have gotten what we deserve as a society
