Jeff Metcalf, the father of recently-killed Texas teenager Austin Metcalf, had the police called on him for showing up to a press conference on Thursday held by representatives of his son’s alleged murderer Karmelo Anthony.

https://www.infowars.com/posts/police-called-on-father-of-murdered-teen-austin-metcalf-while-attending-press-conference-for-suspect-karmelo-anthony

During the presser, one of Anthony’s advocates named Dominique Alexander singled out the grieving father, saying it “was disrespectful” for him to show his face and that it “shows the character” of Jeff Metcalf.

He apparently showed the slightest nerve today by delaying some press conference held by the euphemism (or his family/representative?), simply by being there until forced out.

I don't begrudge the dad forgiving the murderer. I don't begrudge the dad recognizing the grief of the muderer's family. Forgiveness isn't a weapon to be wielded.

What I do dislike is his trying to justify and downplay the actions of a murderer. A murderer who killed his own son.

What grief? They just got like a million dollars, and the son they clearly didn't care about enough to raise properly is either about to be shipped off to prison, relieving them of even less responsibility, or is about to get off scott free in due to a black judge, thus possibly netting them even more money.

You absolutely can forgive someone who is unrepentant. It's exactly what Christ did on the cross.

Oh so everyone is forgiven of their sins and all are going to heaven. Good to know.

If not, then for what sin are they going to hell?

There's a difference from human forgiveness and Godly forgiveness. God knows who is truely repentant and who isn't. That's why he gets the final say on who goes where. Do you imagine you have a say in where everyone goes? And yeah Christ died to forgive our sins, did you think he was up there for fun?

But please continue to make an argument I didn't make.

I think we are misunderstanding one another. If Christ already forgave everyone then for what sins are we going to be sent to hell for?

I would just phrase it as Christ is currently willing to forgive if we come to him in repentance.

Edit: In my head, Christ's forgiveness means all our sins are gone once it happens.

he died to complete the covenant, as one last sacrificial offering on behalf of all mankind. Following that sacrifice, we are no longer obligated to follow the original formula for redemption. But there is a new covenant that requires another action on our part, which is to follow the example of Christ and accept his offer.

No Jesus asked forgiveness of the Roman soldiers.

There were 2 people on crosses next to Jesus, only one went to heaven. The one who repented.

Jesus didn't die on the cross for the absolution of sin? That's what you are saying on Good Friday?

What do you think forgiveness means? It's a different word than absolution, because they mean different things. Cause genuinely Jesus doesn't forgive anybody. Jesus dying forgave nobody. Absolution is not forgiveness.

Retard.

I don't begrudge the dad forgiving the murderer.

There's zero repentance. He's lying saying it was self defence, claiming he dindu nuffin. There's no need for Christians to tolerate or forgive unrepentant sin.

How would you feel experiencing the pain of losing a loved one, only for them to be some weird sacrificial political pawn in the medias retarded ass game.

I would want to be left in peace as well.

Surely most of you know what its like to lose someone you love, right?

This case irritates me too, because it was another needless death by someone to retarded to know better. Keep thinking about a comment the other day some normy made in conspiracies about how he was being bullied and "accidentally" stabbed the other kid with a small pocket blade.

Yeah, even if the kid was being bullied, stabbing someone with a knife is not a appropriate response. Like that kaylee girl who got her head stomped in. A little white girl talks some trash and wants to fight you, let her get a beat down.

You think its appropriate to stomp their head in until they are half dead? Your fucking insane.

Also reminds me of this woman police officer in nova scotia who was killed many years ago. She hooked up with this guy at a bar, and they went back to his place for sex and then later on this guys wheeling a green bin down several streets with her body in it. Claims that in the moment he got caught up and accidentally strangled her. People really think its like the tv.

That you choke someone for 60 seconds and they die lol. Even if you were strong enough, it would still take several minutes to choke the air out of someone. Its not something that just happens in the heat of the moment.

Just like you dont accidentally stab someone with a pocket knife. Theres alot of stuff in between the air and your heart, and it takes either alot of skill, or alot of luck to get between all of it.

And even then you need something more than a 2.5 inch blade, unless the kid was steve urkel or something. Trying to stab someone in the heart with a small blade is incredibly difficult to do.

Id love to see the knife he used, ill bet dollars to donuts it was something like a fighting knife and not a simple pocket blade.

Also, a knife isnt what someone who is "scared" would use. Knives require skill and confidence, without that your more likely to stab yourself than the opponent.

I never owned a pocket blade before, they were illegal in ohio to carry anything over 1.5 inches I think it was. Key word was. They legalized brass knuckles and many other gang affiliated weapons a few years back.

First time I ever used a real knife was for a job after I got poisoned with the refrigerant working on a huge flex printer.

The first month I was super paranoid I was gonna cut the shit out of myself.

Then you would deserve every single bit of pain that it brings you. If you won't stand up for your own people, then why the fuck should any of us stand up for you?

You are categorically wrong in almost every respect on the subject of knives.

Knives are lethal when used with anything approaching skill.

It is this simple. You take a utility knife or a $1 steak knife. You hold it in your dominant hand with your thumb on the spine of the knife. You thrust towards the left hand side of your victim's chest, about level with the breastbone.

Bonus points if you orient your knife horizontally so it won't get hung up on their ribs.

A knife with a decent, non slip, ergonomic handle (like a $1 steak knife) is a bonus, because you hand is less likely to slip along the blade and cut your fingers, allowing you to stab more than once. A Buck 110 Hunter (arguably the most popular pocket knife of all time with 15 million made since 1963) would be great for this. A knife with a hand-guard or hilt would be better, but it doesn't really matter because one decent stab is fatal even if you cut your fingers.

Knives kill by causing bleeding. Any forceful stab to the chest or gut is a mortal wound, but hitting a major blood vessel is required to ensure your victim dies before surgery.

"Oh, that is so complicated" You say. Who would know how to do that?

Everyone. Everyone who has spent more than ten minutes holding a knife knows how to do this.

The authors report that stab injuries were recorded most frequently in the chest, followed by the abdomen and then the neck

From

An evaluation of human stabbing performance to inform the standardisation of textile damage examinations: Do simulation trials correlate to reported stabbings?

Which includes a meta study of stab wounds reported at Australian hospitals.

This is the way knives are actually used in the wild when people actually intend to kill someone.

Slashing or hacking is relatively ineffective and more likely to result in superficial wounds, and this is fucking obvious to anyone who has thought about it.

How do I know all this? I have spent years working in security, and getting stabbed is something that keeps me up at night. If someone pulls a knife you run because even a total idiot can kill you.
