For those of you who don't follow Canadian politics (aka 99% of you), Carmey is about to win. Carmey is Trudeau on steroids. All of the bad (censorship, gun control, mass immigration aka invasion, crazy inflation), none of the good (dental plan, that's about it).
Canada has been done for for 25 years, but in recent years, it became much worse. Montreal is filled with invaders and it's not even funny. Metro is basically unusable now and it's up to a point where if you go to a restaurant, you'll be one of the few whites around. Indians recruit only indians, so good luck getting a job.
I've wanted to move for a very long time. Recent events (Carmey) made that even more obvious. But where?
My options:
-
Rural Quebec - still inured to most of the problems that poison the more urban centers. Are you surprised to hear Montreal/etc are 90%+ liberal?
-
Alberta - higher pay, more conservative
-
USA - but where?
-
Europe?
-
SEA?
I have a bit saved up. I can't see myself have a life here. I want to build something, etc. I'm a high school teacher and I'm paying close to 50% in come taxes, plus 15% sales taxes, plus alcohol, property, gas etc etc taxes.
Looking for a way out, Canada is done for. Thank you
The biggest thing any of us can actually do: be racist.
That store with the "black owned business" sign on it, or in OPs case Indian-run business? Avoid. Don't buy anything there, don't recommend it to friends, leave a bad review - or at least a worse review than otherwise. But it's a mom and pop store? Too bad. Go out of your way, pay more, or find other ways to favor your people.
That doesn't mean be shitty to other peoples to their face - in fact just the opposite. Be nice and pleasant and then metaphorically knife them in the back.
In better times you could listen to your heart and your compassion, but we're clearly facing an orchestrated global campaign to destroy our culture and life and we have to respond like the existential threat it is. I can tell you it doesn't come natural to me to discriminate and be tribal, it's not in my bones, but it's what must be done.
As someone who had to leave the Pacific Northwest for Florida just look for the places the media say is terrible but seems well organized. Get ready for a lot of scammers who know you're new and desperate for a place to stay or find work. I nearly rented a house that wasn't owned or run by the people demanding money. Everything is aimed at getting a quick buck off stupid or new people. I still don't know a good place to get my car fixed.
The big thing to worry about is how much people will try to bring you back. You have family and friends that you want to see again. Your wife will demand you go back daily. Your parents will send videos of nieces and nephews. That will be a difficult hell. In a way, those who had little contact with family in the old world were lucky.
Get ready to see the world very differently. You will see the crack in reality, and then live beyond it. It's a weird world full of unexpected things. I never knew I had to make sure to test ideas based on stupid people, but now it's part of my design prep.
If you move to Florida, Publix has a European section and a South American section. You can get a lot of stuff from home that way.
Good luck.
I don't have any advice to give except that it's a tumultuous time to move to another country.
Didn't Russia offer refuge to people fleeing the woke BS?
It's likely like every other place that gives away free land and sells houses for $1. Once you sign up youre on the hook, in a foreign land, and you best believe every local will be gouging you, along with the government, especially if you just fled your last country, they really got you.
As a Québécois living on the outskirts of Montréal, I have been studying this matter intensely for a good bit.
In the end we had two main options: Uruguay or Mexico. We ended up choosing Mexico because it is so much closer, and we know we like it there.
We're going on an exploratory trip soon to make sure we are comfortable with our area of choice, and then we come back, sell everything, and move with the clothes on our backs and a piece of luggage or two each.
We run a small publishing business, all we'll need is a nice Xerox printer and we're up and running again.
Uruguay looks nice on paper but the population is small, if globalists wanted they could import as many dot-Indians as current population in 5 years or so.
What region of Mexico do you recommend?
I don't. It all depends what you need. There are many nice spots in Mexico. I am fluent in Spanish, so that's a major hurdle I don't have that many do.
I would recommend looking at crime stats and which states to avoid, there are quite a few, and among those that remain, which one(s) have what you need: the climate you want, services, etc.
For example, there are cities and towns where there are a lot of English-speaking expats, even full "privadas" (gated neighborhoods that aren't necessarily expensive to live in) of American & Canadian expats, with full services in English nearby.
I have very limited mobility, so that's another factor that somebody else wouldn't have. My choice isn't going to be anybody else's choice and frankly, I don't want to mention the area on here or anywhere else, because I don't want expats near me.
The reason is that in some places, expats come with their money and bid up prices, out-competing Mexicans on their own territory, on top of changing the local cuisine ("That's too spicy, tone it down or we're not coming back!") and having signs and menus in English, thereby driving up resentment. In Mexico city for example, they have graffitis that say "GRINGO GO HOME". Yup.
But there are many places with limited but extant expat populations which may suit you well. On top of that, quite a few conservative Americans who fled the USA from the Biden terror regime are looking to get back, opening up nice housing possibilities in expat neighborhoods, if you don't speak the language.
So anyway, I suggest that among your criteria you may have a relatively small expat population and not a place where they've basically made life unlivable for Mexicans.
And yeah, Uruguay is fairly white, it's gotta be on the globalists' hit list.
Sault St Marie
It's closer to civilization than Thunder Bay is.
Why Sault Ste Marie?
I can't think of much good or bad about SSM either way.
The Soo was once a steel town, but I think that's all but over. Remaining employment is likely either government/public services or maybe forestry.
The best part about SSM, Ontario is that the USA is just across the river. The less great part is that there isn't much on the Michigan side. Their SSM, Michigan sister city has only about 40% of the pop of the Ontario side. There's not much else other than Indian reservations, casinos and poor farms for the many hours south to Flint and Detroit.
The biggest downside to the Soo is probably how geographically isolated it is on the the Canadian side. Thunder Bay is about six hours northwest on an awful single-lane undivided highway, with no reason to ever go there. Ditto Sudbury, Ontario another four hours east on another single-lane deathtrap of a highway, but at least flatter & less likely to be closed completely over the winter.
Toronto is a good 8 hours away, making it reachable but also too far to travel comfortably.
SSM also has shitty air service, no passenger rail and only government-backed intercity bus service after Greyhound Canada folded.
On the Canadian side, yes. Cross the border and drive for twenty minutes and you've got the Delta puddlejumper to Minneapolis (and Detroit, but, well, fuck Detroit), which is the Delta hub. From MSP you can fly just about anywhere.
Because just across the border is the nicest parts of the US. Notwithstanding the fact that their governor is an idiot, Michigan is some of the best outdoors living in the country. Sure, you can't live there, but you can visit there visa-less anytime.
I think we might have different conceptions of what is desirable and acceptable travel distances. Being American and from flyover America, I'm entirely used to having to use a connecting flight to get anywhere, it's just how our air system is structured. I also regard getting away from civilization as inherently good. There's nothing in the cities worth staying in the cities for. A small city, as long as it has a daily scheduled puddlejumper, is more than enough for me to move in as long as I can find work.
In my line of work it's a lot harder to avoid civilization unless I go full remote. I'm in Green Bay, and that's about as small as a city can get and still need software developers.
I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder as well.
I've spent not insignificant periods of time with the Yoopers in the Upper Peninsula. And never did it ever cross my mind that "This place is beautiful".
There are lots of things I like about the UP - the Interstate is smooth and well maintained, the shopping is better, the people are friendly and mostly white with no jeets to be seen, it does seem like a cool, down-to-earth rural culture up there.
But the parts of the UP I've seen have mostly been flat, featureless and boring. Granted I haven't seen most of the western and northern parts of the Superior coast.
I think the Canadian SSM side is ugly as shit as well, but at least the topography is a lot more distinct and feral.
You don't know flat, featureless, and boring until you've driven across South Dakota or Nebraska.
And you don't know ugly as shit until you've been to Louisiana or Florida. Or Mississippi. Or Alabama. Georgia. Arkansas. You know what that whole quarter of the country is basically just swamp and mosquitos.
Sure, is Vancouver pretty? Yeah, mountains everywhere. And it's full of fucking crazy leftists. Cross the border and you're in Seattle where there's MORE fucking crazy leftists.
Canada has no equivalent (that I'm aware of) of Appalachia.
My cousin was the ER doctor there for a decade or so, back in the day!
It has LOTS of Natives, but most are the good type: just regular folks with no chips on their shoulders. Hard working people of all sorts live in relative harmony, better than in Thunder Bay anyhow. Between the Drugs Gangs & lunatic leftists that city is worse than Winnipeg now! 😣
You're thinking like an individual, whereas you should be thinking as a group or political organization.
Don't be so convinced carney is guaranteed to win.
That said polievre talks a big talk, but realistically the PC party isn't that much different, plus the way our system works he wouldn't be able to walk in and start flipping tables like Trump has.
True, the CBC and pollsters have been deliberately faking results to favour the Liberals this entire election.
Sadly? It just might work.
If so? Canada is done. There will be no chance of recovery from Carney. His life-long goal is to put the WEF in charge of everything, everywhere. He'll start here & we cannot stop him.
The commonwealth of pennsylvania welcomes you fellow autist
I would aim for Florida. Upsides, it's pretty much a red state plus cool oceanside stuff like deep sea fishing. Downsides, major Spanish-speaking influence, Miami whores, and hurricanes. So basically if you do some research to find a city or town that works for you, it could go pretty well.
My Aunt & Uncle were looking to retire in Florida, full time. They drove all over, everything was so expensive, even Pensacola! Then they drove a few hours away into coastal Alabama: same beautiful houses (in a small town ofc) at half the prices. They got a place 5 blocks from the ocean, high & dry, living happily ever after now! 🙂 Yeah they got hit by a hurricane a while back, they said it made the beach 20' closer to their house! 😅 Trivial damage otherwise.
Canada has one advantage that other western countries lack in how big and empty it is. Retreat North, prepare yourself for some tough times. People are all looking for an easy ride, they cluster around Toronto, Montreal and other major cities. When the handouts end, they'll leave those too, in search of other places to plunder.
It's a viable strategy, but retreating North will inevitably put you in contact with Feather Indians, which are the Canuck equivalent of American inner city blacks - violent, prone to crime, unemployed, alcoholic, both running drugs and doing them, poaching, anti-white, uneducated but outspoken and overconfident, coarse, lazy, dirty, etc.
As you go further North, your white population will decline just due to decreasing population density in general, but you will meet more & more reservations full of entrenched, entitled savages.
Closer in behavior to Mexicans than Blacks from my experience growing up next to a reservation. Maybe in terms of the amount of handouts they ask for they're closer to blacks.
Sloth, alcoholism, and domestic violence, sure. But nowhere near as bad as the stuff the inner city gets up to.
There's a lot of space in northern Canada, so you can be selective about where you choose to settle. And since everything is driving distance, the worst problems tend to stay on the reserve.
Driving distance?
Europe = 50 miles
America = 200 miles
Canada = 500 miles
😃
But even in Northern Canada there are pretty good roads as long as you respect the weather.
Canada? there's a non zero chance that America will come to you.
America is still fine. Just don't be stupid and move to New York or California. Somewhere South is better. Find the most Red States you can, and then do some research on which ones you'd prefer to live in.
As an Albertan, stay away from our province. If you're going to abandon the country, then get out, I'll stay here and continue to push for right wing stability. Based on what you describe, you should just leave the country and never come back. We need nationalists and patriots, not doomers.
Its been gone for 15 years at least
I was born in Abitibi and lived there 30 years. It's not much better in rural Quebec. The diversity is slowly making its way there and instead of voting liberal, they vote Bloc. Which has 95% of the policies of the liberals.
Most people seem to think independance will magically fix all the problems... never realising leftism and fat government is the cause of most of our ills.
Dude it's so fucking funny and pathetic that Carney flipped polls by like 30% by preaching Orange Bad and phoney corporate nationalism to a nation of rubes and Indians who were ready to hang Trudeau four months ago.
The WEF parachuted in a globalist banker to put the Canadians back in line and it fucking worked like a charm, lmfao
Yep and tbf Im hoping he wins.
He will be the final nail in the canadian coffin.
I've been wondering this for many years (I'm old!) but of course never had the $$$ to even dream of it. Manitoba is a lovely place, but far too many lefties & bad Natives here :< We've been circling the drain for decades now, no escape in sight.
I used to hope I could escape to some Caribbean nation? Not the "tourist meccas" ofc, overpriced! The smaller ones.
Belize used to be viable: speaks English! Stable government. Not now: totally over-run by Drug Cartels. Ditto for all the nations in that region.
One possible place? El Salvador. Maybe Argentina now? Chile? It would be a real crap-shot though, who knows when the next dictator takes over & purges the likes of us.
If you're coming to the USA - Red states but avoid the capitals.
