Coulter’s Law. They only withhold identity if the person belonged to a protected demographic. The female pilot was either black, openly gay, or a tranny.

Or female.

They would have released the name if it was a biological White woman. White women are one of their favorite scapegoats these days. I agree with u/current_horror —it's either a tranny or a non-White woman.

Yeah, no need to over complicate this. Women aren't allowed to be held to account.

I’ve seen stuff that theorizes it was a man thinking he was a woman. I expect someone will at least leak the identity soon so we will have confirmation of who this mystery pilot is.

Actually female or 'claims to be female' as it's looking more like diversity qoutas put in people to positions that endanger the public instead of working off a merit based standard.

They are doing a lot of this "withholding the name at the request of the family" in community papers as well.

They don't report the names of the deceased for motor vehicle fatalities in the local papers anymore, which makes me not give a shit about the story or the deceased.

It's so "pants on head" retarded that they've also stopped releasing the names of missing persons bulletins.

"Hey, aren't you [REDACTED] from that missing persons poster?"

"Yes, it is I, [REDACTED]. Thank you for finding me."

Because it was a troon, and the crash was deliberate.

People are probably going to learn that they've been supporting a certain demographic that has a 1 in 2 suicide rate.

They're hiding it because it's embarrassing to some protected class and makes it more obvious "she" should have never been piloting that helo in the first place whatever the reason.

Even worse, this unit typically had requirements of "time in service" before they rotated people in. This means that either 1) they fast tracked this tranny through flight training at Ft. Rucker and waived those requirements or 2) this person was already a pilot, and hiding their tranny tendencies in violation of standing orders.

If it was a woman, it's probably another Kara Hultgreen scenario. "Hey, she's photogenic, she's a chopper pilot, why not put her in this other type and in one of the busiest airspaces in the world?"

Almost appears to be misdirection. I want to see that passenger plane manifest

A bunch of figure skaters, but with how our world works I wouldn’t be surprised if someone carrying a spy movie MacGuffin was onboard.

I just thought it was strange they spoke of the figure skaters and then put all the focus on the pilot of the helicopter. Who else was on that plane?

This is one of the tasks that the web 2.0 and search engines are poor at. Here is a partial list I found. https://www.kansascity.com/news/local/article299452669.html

This axios article lists some additional names. https://www.axios.com/2025/01/30/dc-plane-crash-victims-list-american-airlines-5342

I see candidates on both lists that jump out at me. Lawyer from a big DC law firm, another civil rights lawyer, a couple of big grain producers, a couple of that "hunting party" were politically connected, and... there were two Russian nationals on the plane and a Philippines cop.

They are two different stories: the victims of a tragedy and the cause of the tragedy. You only think it's strange because you've decided the cause of the tragedy isn't the pilot but the passengers.

I did say in a previous thread that we could afford to wait for the crew to be identified before assuming the rumour that one of the pilots was a transsexual was true, but refusing to disclose the second pilot's identity while the other pilot (Andrew Eaves) and the crew chief (Ryan O'hara) are public knowledge is giving credence to that rumour.

The helicopter was involved in, and may have actually caused, one of the worst airline disasters in American history.

There is no "may have." The helicopter was travelling in a flight corridor with a maximum altitude of 200 feet. The helicopter was at 300 feet, then shortly before the collision swerved out of the flight corridor and ascended to 350 feet. Even if we don't blame the pilot/s for the swerve - if they were suddenly blinded by the lights on an airliner and left their previous trajectory because they were trying to halt their forwards momentum - that does not explain or excuse the fact that they were already outside of the flight corridor.

How retarded do you have to be though to be 300ft OVER your designated ceiling for that route. It's perfectly safe if you just stay at 300ft, but she was at 600ft at the time of the crash.

Are you sure about that? The information I saw showed the helicopter at an altitude of 300-350 feet, not 300 feet above the maximum altitude of 300 (200) feet.
