Notice that the mod who posted that has a name that starts with PLAION_
Plaion is the Embracer Group subsidiary that acquired Warhorse.
On 13 February 2019, Koch Media [now Plaion] entered into an agreement to acquire Czech developer Warhorse Studios. Warhorse's game Kingdom Come: Deliverance had been co-published by Deep Silver exactly one year prior, and Koch Media paid €42.8 million, equal to Warhorse's 2018 earnings, to seize ownership over the studio and its intellectual property. The acquisition closed later that day.
I have no clue what to make of all this. The leaks still seem fake as fuck. But it's also true that they've refused to address the issue at all, when it should be easy if they're fake. And are now doubling down with this nonsense. Not a good look, as they say.
If you pre-ordered this game and haven't requested a refund, you're a cuck.
And a retard. Regardless of this individual drama and this particular game and case, everyone should have learned to not preorder in general. Wait for more info. If you still want to buy the game, do it, but it's way too early right now.
What's even the point of pre-ordering anymore? Back in the day, it was to ensure you got a physical copy at launch because stores could (and would) run out of stock. We also got different cover art, some collectable items, and then later some exclusive DLC that actually stayed exclusive.
Today? You get the game 2 days earlier, a few XP points for online play, and maybe some cosmetic DLC that everyone else will get sooner or later. But everything is digital and on-demand. Even if you intend to buy at launch, tying up your money in pre-orders makes no sense.
This is the qualifier I find. I have pre-ordered games in the past, I even got rewards for it, but we're talking about almost 10 years ago in many cases before things truly turned to shit everywhere, and games I still play now long after their release dates and even their sequels have come out. Sequels that I didn't pre-order, or buy after the actual release, because of the aforementioned turning to shit eveywhere.
So now I get to spend my free time playing games I still enjoy that were made more like the passion projects of old, before the dark times, before The Empire MTXs, achievement skin box spam, and the lowering of difficulty to both acommodate normies inability to play without being handheld every-fucking-step of the way or the devs inability to actually code difficulty without just giving the AI a shit load of buffs instead.
Shouldn't have any reason not to flat out deny the rumors if they are indeed just rumors. I hope they're not true but as you've already stated the warning signs are there.
First don't pre order games. I don't care how based you think the dev is just don't fucking do it.
Second, an unskippable (gay) sex scene? Really? Coming from a game who in the previous one all cutscenes were 100% skippable? This just sounds like ragebait nonsense, I don't personally believe the scene exists and I certainly don't believe any of the cutscenes are unskippable.
Third, the Saudi Arabia rumors are unfounded. Saudis have proven that they can purchase the game just fine in steam, so the game clearly isn't banned there.
What I want to know is will that black muslim be an invincible essential character tied to the main story, or can I ruin whatever side quest he's involved with by putting a crossbow bolt through his face at the earliest opportunity?
In the first game you could add food food to those cooking pots that NPCs would eat from. I don't recall if this had any mechanical purpose other than poisoning them, but it would be funny if you could sneak pork into whatever pot the muslim character eats from.
Depends, I knew games where you could but then I went with 'If I kill him, sure I get good loot but now the next closest Merchant is 10 minutes away from my farming spot, bah he lives'
I'm thinking more of Baldur's Gate 2 :p Fairly sure you could buy certain OP items off some vendors only to then kill them and get a second version. Or it was another game, either way decades ago before bullshit "story important" vendors were a thing.
If you pre-ordered this game and haven't requested a refund, you're a cuck.
There's only one company I ever trusted enough to pre-order from, and that was From Software. Now even that is up in the air if they get acquired by Sony.
Saudi Arabia STILL has this available for pre order on their Steam store.
There WAS a gay relationship in the first game
So I can't tell if this is just turning out to be a false rumour, spread and spammed at the devs that they decided to just shut it down or anything credible. Warhorse have a good track record so far and this isn't really enough to burn their reputation compared to someone like CD Projekt Red.
Yeah, when that novice monk tells you he was sent to the priory for being a faggot, you have the option to rebuke him for it. And then kill him because he's not an essential character, lol.
If they wanted to shut down the rumors, all they'd have to do is say "No, there is no Musa of Mali or gay sex in our game." That they won't say anything on the topics makes it more likely to be true and they're avoiding admitting it to preserve sales.
It really is that simple. Would they drag their feet if the rumor was about a Jewish merchant that always scams you? Would they drag their feet if the rumor was an in-game slave market where you can buy Asians or Africans to send into battle as cannon fodder?
Like you said, they're avoiding the issue completely to preserve sales.
A lot of this relies on IF Saudi Arabia bans it and the reason IS because of the rumoured gay sex.
Just searched it, this rumour is being pushed by 3 mainly lefty journo sites so I'm just going to wait a week and if Saudi Arabia doesn't ban this, it was a false rumour people fell for.
As for why they might not outright say it, looking at it the gay relationship from the previous game were villians so them confirming in the sequel could be story spoilers.
I'm not 'coping' for Warhorse, I'm from the angle of why I don't think we can have absolute free speech same reason we can't have full democracy: too many retarded adults.
The fact all I can find is 'reportedly, rumoured, plans to' with the Saudi Arabia ban means there is a possibility people pissed them off that they just put in a code of conduct than feed them. I can't even blame them as I laughed my ass of at China's Redbook banning all gay talk on their platform, so it'd be hypocritical for me to say they can't do the same.
Unless they have Helldivers 2 community managers talking about furries while banning those saying they don't want gay shit in their games, this is just drama without Saudi Arabia ban confirmation.

Warhorse sold out in 2019.
Koch Media... who nose who is running things now

Must be excited for and consume next product.

A predatory practice designed to prey upon the impatient and weak-willed.
Don't ask me, I have no clue.
Shouldn't have any reason not to flat out deny the rumors if they are indeed just rumors. I hope they're not true but as you've already stated the warning signs are there.

Unskippable cut scenes are gay regardless of content.
True, and they weren't present in the previous game and I see no reason to believe they would be present in the upcoming one either.
What I want to know is will that black muslim be an invincible essential character tied to the main story, or can I ruin whatever side quest he's involved with by putting a crossbow bolt through his face at the earliest opportunity?
Heard he might be a merchant character so, see if the stuff he offers is worth him living lol.
In the first game you could add food food to those cooking pots that NPCs would eat from. I don't recall if this had any mechanical purpose other than poisoning them, but it would be funny if you could sneak pork into whatever pot the muslim character eats from.
Back in my day you could kill merchant NPCs to loot them!
Depends, I knew games where you could but then I went with 'If I kill him, sure I get good loot but now the next closest Merchant is 10 minutes away from my farming spot, bah he lives'
Convenience outweighs bloodlust for the lazy lol

Sometimes they would restock with new more powerful items as the game progressed, and so you would lose out on that.
Imagine you could buy a billet of Damascus steel from him and forge an insane sword with better edge retention and takes less damage.
There's only one company I ever trusted enough to pre-order from, and that was From Software. Now even that is up in the air if they get acquired by Sony.
So it's completely compromised then.
Got it.
Never preorder. Not even from a beloved studio.
there's your issue. never pre-order games, even games you like. Paying for the promise of a product is the actual peak cuck behavior.
I heard from some others that:
Saudi Arabia STILL has this available for pre order on their Steam store.

I'm noticing a pattern how everyone in this thread is avoiding the 'confirmation of Saudi Arabia ban' part...
KCD is one of my favorite games and I can't recall the relationship, which speaks to how minor a point it must have been. Was it the bad guy?
Heard from others, was the villians though there apparently there was a monk too that got sent to isolation because was gay.
