They tried to go 'noir artistic' for some animations but comes off as tacky, barely looks like it's got ASSASSINATIONS in it than a hack and slash.
Sigh, I missed it when Assassin's Creed was more about how to get in, get the one guy and get out so you were focused more on stalking targets, infiltration and exfiltration than essentially being a crazed nut job with a sword.
Honestly, even the original game was a pretty shit stealth game. The parkour was never accurate enough, the blending in system was garbage, and the stealth had little depth to it (compared to contemporary games like Splinter Cell with light and sound levels).
And because of how strong the counter move was, you could in fact play most of it as "crazed nut job with a hidden blade equipped."
Think the second one did it better as you had better distraction tools from using courtesans or mercenaries to distract guards, using poison to cause a guard to go crazy, smoke bombs and the simple ability to swim.
It showed better in the multiplayer, the best players in that game could fake being an NPC, either to close in on targets or letting pursuers get the wrong person or get stunned.
Everyone AC multi-player is mentioned I have to comment as it's the best multi-player game that has ever existed and I miss it more than most of my dead relatives.
They have been working closely with the Studio and have been very hush hush about the project. It's a Origin Story of James earning his status and onwards. Game will definitely need a Christopher Lee and Ian Fleming skin.
They are such bad hack and slash games too. They also nerfed what assassinations are left, I mean go play Odyssey, half the enemies there you can't one-hit, and being seen draws three dozen to you.
The others are right, it was in a lot of ways a shit stealth game always, but there was at least a fun to it, clearing a group of people by drawing them into the bushes to take down then just walking in for the objective.
And all of the "best games" in the series are the best because of factors completely unrelated to the stealth portion. Black Flag was famous for its boats and pirating. Odyssey was an open world action game with a fun protagonist.
Black Flag also had you play someone who wasn't an Assassin for the majority of the game. You're just a pirate so it makes sense that you run around getting into fights out in the open instead of quiet assassinations.
That was mostly regional, though. What I'm talking about is the globalist ideal of putting all of humanity into one big blender until we're all the same pale brown sludge.
I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm sure the Starfield devs really were that shit at making models. I'm just saying that if human civilization treats its gene pool as a pig trough for long enough to reach distant stars, the end result will indeed resemble what we see with modern game models.
Yeah, but that's mostly a thing that reverts to the mean, or at least did in the past. When everyone is mostly living in their own racial groups, you get the one or two guys and gals who want to mix (AND have the opportunity AND aren't swayed by the much stronger social pressure against race mixing and so on), they have some mixed race kids and that one mixed race family lives with a bunch of other families that aren't mixed. Then over the generations, it dilutes. So the first generation is half-American Indian, half-American White. But they're living primarily with a bunch of American Whites around them, so the next generation is 25% Indian and 75% White and so on until you get down to someone like Elizabeth Warren who claims to be Indian and then turns out to be something absurdly small like 1/1052.
Of course, in modernity those geographic barriers and social barriers are both lessened, so we see a lot more race mixing and it's less likely to revert to the mean over time.

Hitman has you covered if that's the sort of gameplay you're after.

and yet it was literally only the first game in the series that was like that. The rest of the games were bloat and fluff.

That's why I stopped at the second one. Then first was good. The sequel was more of the same without further inspiration.
If you see this girl's face in close-up shots, it looks like they made her mixed race too. If I'm wrong it's just awful facial design.
Looks like a Hapa Mexican
To be fair though, after hundreds of years of race mixing I'd expect humanity to look like the mongrels depicted in Starfield.

They don’t know the difference between a Chinese and Japanese face.
