I used to think this way, but the evidence piles up in the other direction. A committed core of Jewish intellectuals created so many parts of our current culture. I believe you're in a similar position: you just haven't investigated.
The American population deserves blame, but mostly for being too complacent and eager to buy into modern vice.
I'm not naive. What I'm saying is that humanity will eventually commit every sin conceivable. It's just a matter of time and technology.
