People have questioned it. The answer is twofold:
A) Left-wing Jewish Intellectuals still support controlling Israel for themselves and are the foundation of the Zionist movement.
B) Evangelicals and defense contractors are a great way for the political right to continue to make money, especially among the Neo-Conservative elite.
People are quick to observe that money controls the politicians. I think this just shows you who controls the money.
