Things haven't progressed to the point where they're confident enough to start openly running kill ops on US citizens Khmer Rouge style, but they're closer than they've ever been.

This whole case is insane. What happened to just ignoring someone if you didn't like what they had to say?
It really was a case of "I can see why you'd think that, but it doesn't really seem true or even close to necessary if it was" until they proceeded to treat it as something so horrible that we couldn't even speak of it and Jones had to pay hundreds of millions in lawsuits over.
Its up there with the Holocaust where I really didn't care to question it, and a lot of its questioners do sound insane, but the reaction to even innocently wondering about some bits throws you down the rabbit hole to not believe the official story at all.

I've seen that attitude clearly on display in a liberal Breadtuber who tried to slander several popular YouTubers because he felt they didn't belong in his space.
