They framed a President and nothing happened, I'm surprised they didn't just flat out drone Alex Jones.
Things haven't progressed to the point where they're confident enough to start openly running kill ops on US citizens Khmer Rouge style, but they're closer than they've ever been.
I think they still want to bleed him for everything they can get from him (and theoretically some supporters). Might as well make it as humiliating and painful as possible.
