They're all arthropods. Insects do lack some body segment differentiation that crustaceans have, and the size of crustaceans makes it easier to get at the actual meat.
Just cuz I like shrimp doesn't mean I want to eat ze bugs though. It's a weird comparison I always see and never get. Just in the amount of quantity you'd need to kill to have the equivalent food amount is not even compatible, the amount of illnesses bugs carry, general cultural norms, etc. I get some people use this as some sorta gotcha, somehow it's both sides that do it.
