Nah WW2 was 'lost' before it started. If you don't want to end up at our current predicament, WW1 was an option if the war could be ended before the Soviets took over Russia and Woodrow Wilson was not president but it'd be hard.
You'll need to go a lot further back if you want it to be a lot easier, this has been centuries in the making.

The French Revolution was 100% pushed by a small and motivated cabal. I know it's schizo to talk about the Illuminati or freemasons, but on their Declaration of the rights of man you can see it prominently featured.
