Hollywood Idea of what Civil War 2.0 Would Look Like

That's so laughably bad, they must be daring us. That's bait. Green-haired nail polish soy boys would literally dissolve in the presence of an actual man. Everyone -- everyone -- knows leftists would completely fail against a violent right wing civil uprising, outside actors notwithstanding.

violent right wing civil uprising

Everyone knows that isn't even what would happen this time around.

This time what would happen is Texas will decide to openly nullify US law on border policy. The national guard will be used to secure the border. The president will sue Texas, the court will rule for the executive, and Texas will not give a shit. The president will revoke federal grants to Texas, and Texas won't give a shit.

The Union won't be broken through direct action, but through apathy and indifference.

I’d love to see that. It pisses me off how the federal government is upset with my governor for doing things to secure the border.

California recently legalized kidnapping if you are bringing your kid from a different state to castrate them against the wishes of the other parent. They did so while acknowledging this as unconstitutional for violating the full faith and credit clause.

They're pretty much asking for a red state to mobilize the national guard to go into California and retrieve their citizen; and the fact that conservatives wouldn't even consider this option is why I am now a Fascist instead. If violence is off the table when dealing with unlawful people, then you will never win. Policy discussions only matter in the context of mutual force.

Well said. Some people just have to learn the hard way.

Either way, I wasn't trying to predict a step-by-step of how civil war would/could begin, I was just commenting on the scenario Hollywood's concocted in this film.

Yeah, before a civil war starts several states will outright leave the union and several townships and districts in woke states will respond by jumping ship with them, eroding US territorial control.

Who will win a civil war?

  • Some green globohomo conscript who don't know the end of a barrel from his asshole, or
  • A bitter Iraq War Army engineer whose country threw him away like a used condom as soon as his contract was up?

Every man who has taken the oath hears the part of giving their life and body to their country. They imagine a death surrounded by enemies and terrible gunfire. Then, one day while carrying some equipment they complain about their knees hurting l, their back aching, and other ailments. At that very moment they realize the truth of the oath they took.

All so "their" country can force mass third world migration and child drag shows on others.

Who would win?

  • An F-35 pilot trained to use the most sophisticated piece of machinery ever produced
  • A guy waiting outside his house with a baseball bat

FINALLY, a movie about our under appreciated and brave journalists. If not for them this nation wouldn’t survive!

The irony is in that movie texas/california are in an alliance. Also pretty sure using rockets becomes unfeasible if you want to kill half the country way too expensive.

Leftists salivate in killing their opponents with massive casualties. Why do you think their constant refrain is "Your AR-15 won't do anything to a tank" or "muh nooks"?

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– undecidedmask2 1 point 2 years ago +1 / -0

They don't even consider the vast ability a firearm has at taking out a tank without ever firing a shot at it.

texas/california are in an alliance

That would require california to have fair and honest elections.

When shooting starts we don’t need elections.

the movie is dumb because it acts like civil war 2 will still be civilized with different states declaring war

complete social collapse is more likely

The more realistic takes if a 'hot' civil were to happen, would be red states holding ground defensively and starving out the blue more urban zones.

They don't HAVE to attack because they have the resources abd a defender always has the advantage. Also Texas and California allying, no amount of drugs could get them to do that.

democratic people's republic of austin + commifornia

the free state of jefferson + texas

It's not going to be a clean break along state lines.

As I said, the Red Areas will starve out the blue, I have a feeling the blue cities inside a red state would fall swiftly when the food and utilities are turned off..

Blue armies will flood sparsely populated red areas and go scorched earth.

That’s how the reds won their own civil war.

Seventy-Two Hours. That's how long a person typically makes it without water. Every major metropolis in this country draws their water from a red area, via pipe or canal or aqueducts big enough to drive a dump truck through.

What will happen eventually is that the balloon will go up, the power lines will come down, and the tap will stop magically producing water.

What you see is the brain of a normie. "I liked the pretty colors and sounds from that guy's last movies so I'm going to like this movie!" If you talk to them in person it really doesn't go deeper than that.
