The funny part always being that they only care about the Imperium when they do this. They only want to see themselves represented in the brutal ultra fascist regime.
And GW is uncompromised only in the manner that their foundational material is so grounded in the grimdark bullshit that they can't quite woke out without redoing basically the entirety of it, and Age of Shitmar has them terrified of doing that again. Its not that they don't want to, its that they have so much builtup unwoke world that you can just never run into that garbage while consuming the world its in. Because its not like the woke are gonna play the autism simulator that is the tabletop.

Unless Cavil holds pure creative rights (even over Games Workshop and Amazon) then temper that hope with cautious interest. With how bad Amazon did with the Wheel of Time and Lord of the Rings, I’m at the “I’ll wait and see” stage.
Good point. Although with wheel of time I knew wit would suck because the showrunner wouldn’t shut up about lgbt casting. Also the diverse cast tells you the priorities. Rings of power couldn’t shut up about modern audiences.
I legit could not tell if that character was a dude or not. Ended up refunding the game because it was boring me to tears, but something about this person urked me. It just came off as a yassified Marine.
