A Colorado judge has ruled that former President Donald Trump “engaged in an insurrection” on January 6, 2021, but rejected an attempt to remove him from the state’s 2024 primary ballot, finding that the 14th Amendment’s “insurrectionist ban” doesn’t apply to presidents.
This should have gone no further than “he hasn’t been convicted.” Instead, this activist judge wrote a 102-page ruling about how Trump is evil but they can’t stop him from being in the primary.
You're not thinking corrupt enough. They know Trump will still win the primary even off the ballot in several states so they want this crisis to happen during the national election when it's too late to resolve.
And now there's a court case to cite saying Trump is guilty of insurrection, with no basis for appeal because the Trump side 'won', because the 14th doesn't apply to primaries.
The bar-certified election commissioner in GA will unilaterally take Trump off the ballot, claiming "guilty of insurrection" citing "a court said so", and won't even lose his law license for it.

What a farce.
Civil court judge drawing criminal conclusions. Absolutely unhinged robed asshole.
Judges should be replaced with AI.
They are only supposed to follow the law. Not invent new laws.

Have to appease her colleagues while giving a ruling that will disappoint them. Being matter-of-fact and honest might end her career, y'know.
Is it being paid by the word or something?
