Truckers in Ottawa block MPs cars from entering Parliament. Oh wait, sorry- they're pro-Palestinian protesters. They say Canada is complicit in a genocide, and call for a ceasefire as Hamas holds 200+ Israelis hostage. (twitter.com)

That just continues to tell me that Hamas has plenty of institutional support. We know what institutional resistance looks like, and no one's bank account has been suspended.

Besides normalizing "From the River To The Sea", and allowing for expressed support for Hamas, and already having murdered a jew; the establishment response has been a resounding, "meh"

Galil.

There are already attempts to outright ban pro-Palestine protests in Europe, not very "meh" at all.

Inb4 governments use anti-Palestine sentiment to bring in anti-protest laws.

That's because if the police arrested Hamas supporters, they know there would be a Truck of Peace attack, and that would be very embarrassing. At that point, they might even have to arrest someone, so it's better just to ban it ahead of time so they don't have to do that.

"They want to make something illegal to avoid arresting people."

Transparent and pathetic yet again

Yes, it's a transparent and pathetic attempt to both placate the terrorists sense of grievance while not enforcing their own laws. Same way they do it with child rape.

Occasional arrests, followed by institutional programs that allow rape to be ignored if the rapist apologizes, and no real action is taken against the systemic abuse. It's show.

Making protests illegal is what libertarianism is all about!

They aren't wrong that countries funding Israel are indeed complicit in genocide, just like activist organization sending money to Hamas like BLM are also complicit in attempted genocide and murder.

Agreed.

I saw one of these protests up close a while back and, frankly, they're welcome to take their crap right back to Palestine.

However, if our government is giving Israel money, then our politicians can go with them.

Israel is actually in a position to commit one though. Hamas never has been.

I don't know about anything before October 7th, but the shit that Israel is doing right now would definitely be considered genocide.

There's been nonstop calls for cease-fires lately after the initial celebrating the attacks.

Think everyone knows now the current Gaza is no longer going to exist as they pretty much said they're taking over....once the wipe Hamas fully out. Don't know how MANY Palestinians will be left after but I stopped caring when they were trying to move them into Europe again.

You should care how many are left because they will get moved into the West. It will be a lot, too.

It's the same shift from the left as every other thing. Once they figure out their actions have consequences, they freak out and say "stop! I should be able to beat and kill you, but you defending yourself is bad!"

fuck 'em. I hope israel kills every hamas terrorist in existence.

Well Canada is comiting genocides.

By mass-importing fertile foreigners it is dooming to extinction the various ethnicities in a precarious demographic situation.

Morons in Canada DO NOT realize what a tiny, shitty, insignificant country we really are. Do these dipshits really think Canada has the diplomatic heft to influence Israel at all? Because we don’t.

No but they can bully the government into taking in millions more of them than they have already.
