It looks like across the board ESG ain't paying as much so when you have the additional cost of product design, development, production, distribution etc you look REAL hard at the numbers to know Disney is bullshitting this character is popular and it would be cheaper to burn the money for heating.
Disney only exists for me pre End Game and even then you have hit and misses
That movie successfully was the jumping off point I needed to happily not give a fuck about marvel anymore, I got my conclusions and character resolutions so could easily walk away.
The current Disney is just a skinsuit that WILL fall in it's current trajectory, nothing is too big to fail, history shows us that.
Honestly it's been downhill for me ever since Iron Man 1. That movie was perfectly done as far as capeshit goes. I saw the decline in IM2 and on as it was basically just one big advertisement for OTHER movies (especially grrlboss tropes) while Tony Stark just got drunk and screwed around.
I'll put my hat in and say the GOTG trilogy is probably the most consistently good and solid of the internal trilogies the whole Marvel clusterfuck has had to offer.
I liked alot of the early marvel movies because they didn't treat me like a fucking idiot or insult my intelligence.
Weird as that is to say.
With 99% of most hollywood movies pre-marvel, the expectation is that the person watching it is dumb as a box of rocks. (They're right, but work with me here.)
As such, there is a lack of trust that you understand what's actually going on. So the story tends to belabor the fucking point, or ham it up with voice-overs constantly and constantly explaining shit, or the movie repeatedly hitting you metaphorically over the head with 'THIS IS WHAT'S HAPPENING PAY ATTENTION'.
A blatant example I like to use is Dark City. If you've never watched it, I highly, highly recommend it. Excellent movie. If you like your Noir mysteries with a side of eldritch horror, buckle the fuck up. But, fair warning - watch the version that doesn't spoil the entire fucking movie in the opening voice over.
Why does it have a voice over? Because hollywood producers thought that people wouldn't understand what was going on without it.
To contrast, as stupid as Captain Marvel was, and as poorly done, it atleast just pushed me into the deep end and expected me to catch up on my lonesome during the first 30 minutes of the film.
That was one of the big warning signs in 'Thor: Love and Thunder'. They did it in a... look, alot of that movie was stupid, but the fact that they actually had a fucking re-cap to explain all the shit that's happened up until that point was a blatant display of 'things have changed alot for the worse'.
So, yeah. That's why I actually like alot of marvel stuff, pre-Endgame.
It seemed at first they were somewhat respecting source material at least. I would’ve loved for them to have used the ending from the infinity gauntlet comic books
The streaming model has insulated woke shows (and their activist producers) from market forces. It’s basically communism for entertainment. People pay subscription fees, and those fees pay salaries for losers and freaks who produce trash that very few people watch. It only “works” because the service controls legacy franchises people actually enjoy, but that goodwill eventually runs dry.
For the sake of a Devil's Advocate and assuming Disney aren't filthy liars, could this be due to demographical breakdown, with Hasbro knowing that the vast majority of that 14 million are a bunch of low income adults that are consooming the latest media property and nothing else?
Even with 14 million viewers, if I knew that the demographic was overwhelmingly a bunch of people who aren't going to touch action figures, not an unreasonable belief considering most hardcore adult fans that would collect the toys are done with SW, and most kids don't give a shit about a dying franchise, regardless of how much some soulless corporation pumps money into it, from before they were born, then I too wouldn't be making these things because the obvious point is "who the fuck is going to buy it".
Of course Disney is definitely lying, possibly even to the point of lying to Hasbro too, but even that lie wouldn't translate into toy sales because as Hasbro has said there's a lack of demand. The only people watching this tripe is middle-aged losers chasing their youth though consumption. They've become the equivalent of soap opera watchers, religiously watching their low quality dramas with religious fervour, but very little financial investment.

At this point Disney is being run by activists who do not care about profit. But Disney is to big to fall and activists care little if it does.

IMO Infinity war was the peak and all downhill from there.

Loved the first one. Second one was written by people with serious daddy issues. Haven't seen the third. Is it a decent finish for the trilogy?
100% agreement.
Iron Man was great.
I saw the 1st Thor movie and it was alright.
I saw The Avengers and it was fucking stupid. Joss Whedon crap all over the place. Didn't see any of the rest.

I'll easy say Endgame wasn't as good as Infinity War but Endgame was the best conclusion to leave from.
I still think the best Marvel movie ever made was Winter Solider.
Damn, right!

Disney: Mouth
Hasbro: Money
I know which one I'm believing...

I suspect Hasbro has access to the real numbers and that's why they're not wasting resources on it.

Ah, I just saw the skin colour of the main character...
(Originally it was other colour, not black.)
She is orange
Rosario Dawson is like a 50 year old Abuela. Eww.
Like black and Latin. Her mom is a black Latina I think so “Afro-latino”.
Look at her face bro. How is that ugly bitch not black?
What's that? Okay lol apparently you're a discord tranny.
part black
You lost me at DISNEY.
Lawl.. while figures and toys are churned out from anime. Most figurine companies are still based. Old school fan service.
I mean, is that 14 million full series watches or just the first episode?
Because both can simultaneously be true, if people watched one (or even part of one) episode and then noped out for various reasons.
Money laundering? Yeah, fake numbers make it obvious what it is.
