The origin story was important to cover up at the beginning as it might be an obstacle to election. Later, he could just say "fuck you". They weren't going to litigate it. The power would not let that happen.

Also, was that the one where they're on video being merked by a diver? Like, they survived the plane crash, were chilling in the ocean, and got jumped?
I didn't hear about a video, just suspicions because she was the ONLY person on the airplane to die. It was a crash landing into shallow water and the other 3 or so passengers were fine.
