Doesn't matter where he was born. His dad was not a citizen, making him a naturalized citizen, not natural-born citizen, and thus ineligible. 8 years of presidency should be tossed out entirely, but no one has the guts.

The origin story was important to cover up at the beginning as it might be an obstacle to election. Later, he could just say "fuck you". They weren't going to litigate it. The power would not let that happen.

The right will obsess over the most trivial nonsense which isn't even true.

A natural-born citizen refers to someone who was a U.S. citizen at birth, and did not need to go through a naturalization proceeding later in life.

It's a 1984 moment. It always meant both parents are citizens right up until Obama ran for president, then suddenly it meant something different. Everyone forgot what they had always known and denied ever having believed it, while history was duly re-written to conform to the new reality.

You are right though in the sense that the rules as written are meaningless. The strong will do what they will, while the weak will suffer what they must.
