They seem to be two orders of magnitude off from reality on every politically charged topic.
Covid they were a hundred times off on severity, mRNA a hundred times off on side effects, this police killings, actual amount of racism in the world, etc.
Humans, emotively speaking, can only conceptualize discretely up to the number 150 or so.
So when they're told over and over and over, that one singular man was killed for resisting arrest while tweaking high as a kite, to them, that's 1/150, it occupies one of their precious few numbers. From there, just expand logically, 1/150 = 2,000,000/300,000,000. So clearly 2 million people die to cops each year. Of course, they ALSO can't fathom big numbers like "million", that is well beyond 150, but just know that it's a whole super duper lot of them.
Its also a shitty question, because "unarmed" doesn't mean "not dangerous."
I'd wager a large amount of the people killed by police were both unarmed, and tweaking on something so hard they were a massive threat to literally everyone in the vicinity. That's not a person you can just "let go" and any real attempt to put them down non-lethally like a taser (theoretically, we know they can still kill) will just be shrugged off because of how tanked out they are. Which means any attempt to restrain them will likely be fatal, or they are likely to die just because of the drugs anyway and the cops happened to be there (Hi Floyd).
Also, I'm very interested in that statistical anomaly where going from regular to Very Conservative makes the "more than 10000" triple in answer in clear defiance of every other natural trend.

I’d venture a guess that those who identify as “Very Conservative” are more likely to see polling as bullshit and therefore more likely to give a troll answer.
You may be on to something there. I remember the midterm before Trump won a lot of us in my voter district were trolling a pollsters that we were voting for a Democrat who lost. Seemed like everyone she asked voted for the guy and he lost. This was in NC.
Who would we be, if we did not enforce a scientific constant like that one? ("When doing polling, if you were to ask 'who currently has the greatest power in the USA', about 5% of people will answer 'lizardmen from beneath the surface' just to fuck with your data.")
I'm probably in the 95th percentile for "right wing" beliefs. If a polling place asked me this question I'd identify as very liberal and give the wrongest answer possible. Why? Fuck polling places, that's why.
And no matter how much you show this data they still won’t believe. Reminds me of when Clay Travis was talking about how fearful we would be of sharks if the news reported shark attacks like they do police shootings
This chart is similar to the chart of how young people think blacks or lgbt make up around half the population. Although if you watched a lot of modern tv I could understand how you would reach that conclusion
Probably boomers who identify as "conservative and proud" even though in reality they're fence sitting moderates who only seem conservative compared to their latchkey kids. Most young people know better than to publicly identify themselves as enemies of the state.
I was watching this show about a guy whose mother has disappeared. The cops go over to ask about her, and the guy puts his hands up and says "don't shoot." They tell him they're looking for his mother, and they've come to ask if he knows where she is. He keeps dancing around, asking them not to shoot him.
I didn't see the end, but it seemed like he was the killer. Maybe he was afraid they were going to deliver instant justice.

Such is the effect of "thinking" with emotions instead of rational thought.
It's the effect of a carefully and purposefully constructed hyperreality created by media companies.

Did you see the jordan neely propaganda on twitter?
It's really simple.
1. Start with the real situation
2. Swap terms and people
3. Spread fake consensus with bots and propagandists
Start with:
Black gangs driving around shooting at random people
Swap, to become:
Police driving around shooting at random black people
It's the same bullshit from feminism.
Start with:
Men are most of the victims of murder
Swap to:
Women are most of the victims of murder, murdered by men!
It's fcked up but it's a straightforward technique.
Its also a shitty question, because "unarmed" doesn't mean "not dangerous."

It is your solemn duty to make shit up on every poll you're asked to participate in. After all, you're not getting paid for honesty.
Lizardman's Constant.

Serious answer. My guess is they believe the cops should be going into these slums and cracking more skulls, Dredd style, spreading law and order.
I don't personally believe the cops are responsible for murders caused by not doing their job, but I understand how somebody could.

actually happened & is the defining moment of this propaganda technique:

So they haven’t learned any lessons
They learned. The Democrat media is doing all this on purpose.

Notice that conservatives don't even get it. 46% is pathetic.
The media domination is overwhelming.
Yes, even though conservatives do much better, even they are influenced by the liberal media.
What libs think being a cop in America is like.
Which in itself is an inaccurate depiction of what Vietnam was like.
What’s with “Very Conservative” being slightly less correct than “Conservatives” — a few Nazis just expressing their own wishful thinking, or…?
Probably boomers who identify as "conservative and proud" even though in reality they're fence sitting moderates who only seem conservative compared to their latchkey kids. Most young people know better than to publicly identify themselves as enemies of the state.
Hahah yes, a few far right people who probably share videos of blacks getting shot to each other all day long.
They probably also share all the libtard stories about black genocide except with a "Hell yeah, brother".
In Australia they prefer tasing 5'2" 42kg 95 year olds
